2v2 can be one of, if not the, most fun types of team battles, but holy heck it can be the most stressful and difficult thing to perfectly play around only one other teammate. Its like having two lives but your other life is frantically running around at the same time as your current life, and if it dies its on you to stay alive for it and vice versa.

I hear that cause if you get unlucky and get a teammate that has no idea what they're doing its basically wraps at least with teams of 4 there is room for error and one person can afford to not be as advanced as everyone else
They really need to make these challenges 4 hours long. Me and a buddy played last night, and we'll probably play again this afternoon, but usually for these challenges, I can barely play during these events; I just got lucky with this one.
I had so much fun during the last challenge (random weapons) because nobody knew how to play their weapon. I kinda wish challenges were always open and switched rules every 2 hours like normal modes.
I think this is probably the 2nd best game mode, right behind Trizookas. The amount that some weapon and special dynamics change when you throw them into a 2 v 2 environment is crazy. It's so much fun
it feels like a charger is a handicap in this format. If the other teammate’s dead, charger can’t hold for the team, even if the map design helps them.
Honestly this was an amazing challenge, even in solo que. The only bad thing was the lack of comms in solo but other than that it's the beat so far easuly

Doubles in any game will always be competitive. It's it's the simplest form of coordination you can possibly have, without having to worry about extra players or teammates. It all comes down to what team could work together the best

The Heavy Deco was so much fun for this challenge. Great tower rider, and kraken to push with if your teammate needs to be on tower more. And a not bad frontline in a 2v2 enviroment :)
I swear I was wanting to absolutely kill my teammates sometimes like one of them was whenever I was using gal so I could easily get out front and was taking out the two on the other team, but this damn range blaster didn’t want to hop onto the tower while I was wiping out the two AND STILL LOST CAUSE I HAD TO TAKE THE TOWER AND THEY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO KILL
Me and my friend did this weird como where i would play hyper agressive n-zap with cooler constantly up and he would play tri stringer and help me from tower while i just went in like a tetras and slayed out
This looks fun vs what I experienced which was a bunch of bomb spammers and players spamming splash walls and bubblers the entire time vs actually fighting
I was playing with a comp teammate and we were struggling, even against players we likely could've beaten with our whole team in 4v4s. Any special tips for this mode?
just make sure you guys coordinate who needs to ride and dont have one person push enemies when one of you is dead. try to coordinate specials as well and having something that stalls like booyah or strikes is really nice
Does anyone know where u can look up the stats on when u reach each tier. Like when u get top 20%, etc? Or just a guess on what u have to reach. Kind of curious. 😀

2500 WHAT?!?!?! pls someone tell me how, in calculating i won 3 of 5 matches and was put in 1800 or something and i was winning MOST games and ended on 2000, seems impossible to reach that high, do you really need to win everything to reach that? if so thats crazy
It depends on the teams you're getting put against and your teams "secret power" (everyone has a secret power which is based on win/loss ratio of ranked modes/turf war) if your secret power is high you'll calc higher. We calced at 2350 for going 3/5

The dynamic and weapon advantages change so much with 2v2 that it's sinful that it's not a full-time mode.

Luckily, in solo, I was frequently paired with good players. One carried me, 17 - 4 😅 It was so much fun and I actually won more than I lost.

I played that too and I thought splatanas were very much cheese cause the mode was tower

That's how I do it. I listen to the game audio through my capture card software. There are other ways to do it though, such as an audio splitter

this challenge was so damn easy. so many wins in a row, holy shit.
Got top 5% by hard carrying as n zap. I’m pretty underwhelmed with how easy 2v2 is.
Playing with charger was more fun and rewarding and also missing shots are more devastating. 😁
