Darren Aronofsky is a very early formative filmmaker for me, like many of my generation, and Mother! is still one of my favorite of his films. Ben's fascination with The Whale & seeing it 6 times in the theater was my experience with Mother! This was a great episode and an unexpected surprise that is much appreciated. Always meant to keep up with where Ben Avery was going creatively since the unfortunate split with Tim Dillon. This was a great reminder to catch up with Lemonparty. Thanks

But after listening to this particular discussion, I now feel as though that part of his obsession is due to his interpretation of Tim Dillon's actions / personality. When Ben talks about how some people just want to throw money at the issue, when you instead want them to be a human being . . . this seemed very pointed.

Fancy can you fix bad friends, its stagnant. The jokes aren't funny when they're predicable, its cheesey. A shell of what it was, I've been rocking with the show from the beginning. It's sad the first episode is better than most episodes this, without Rudy it's garbage. I only watch to see who's the guest. Just a question, even juicy is watered down funny. You guys should pay Rudy and make her permanent.
