Gojira is one of the most addicting bands to listen to!! Once you start they pull you in. Speaking of bands that pull you in, please listen to Meshuggah! 🖤
Gojira "Where Dragons Dwell Live 2013 Hellfest" is one of the best Modern Metal performances that exists, Mario Duplantier with a legendary performance and demonstrating why Gojira is the best modern metal band that exists today
@@gabrieldugarte9569 Yes, but it's always worse when the audio is going through a camera. A live recording doesn't sound the same compared to being there in person is what I'm saying
@@aiellamori Oh no of course, obviously live is another experience without a doubt, the good thing is that Gojira has good sound engineers that at least if you can't go see them live you have a good recording on youtube
how about trying the "other side" of Gojira with songs like "born in winter" or "low lands" (they wrote this one when joe & mario's mum passed away - they shot the video in their family home ) beautiful songs that deserve a try !!!
What a great suggestion! These songs are incredibly good, and among Gojira's best, but if you're expecting face melting riffs and growls, you might be disappointed. If you temper expectations of heaviness, you'll be rewarded with amazing music.
You definitely want to check out some live work of Gojira. check out 'The Gift Of Guilt' Live at Brixton Academy London, and 'Pray' at Red Rocks and 'The Heaviest Matter of The Universe' Live at Vieilles Charrues Festival 2010.
nice ," There is light in this world I fight for ",🔥, may suggest "Stranded" - primal ethereal visualization. Also, Jinjer is touring and released MV -Call Me A Symbol
The emotion you feel in Joe's voice, despite the harsh vocals, comes from his ability to scream in pitch. This gives you a simultaneous sensation of melody and heaviness.
Beautiful reaction as always Aileen!! Love the way you analyze the (deeper) meanings of these songs, and I couldn't agree more with. Would be awesome to see you reacting to their live stuff !!! and hope you have the chance to go to one of their concerts, it's such a unique experience ... there's a strong spiritual connection kind of vibe during the whole concert, don't know how to explain it.. it hits different. You should check songs as "Pray" (live at Red Rocks), "Lowlands", "gift of guilt" (live at Brixton Academy)... could be all day here talking about Gojira LOL. Thanks for all your amazing content, cheers from Buenos AIres, Argentina! 🍻🍻🤘🤘
One of my absolute favorites from Gojira is "Born in Winter" which is a song I always used to listen to before I went skydiving to get my mind right before going up in the plane/heli/building or whatever we were jumping from that day.
Yaaaasss!! This was the first song I ever heard by Gojira, when that album was a year out or so, and I was instantly hooked and started diving into some of their older material.
Gojira are so fkin good its ridiculous. They are more important than most people will realise. I'm glad im alive while they are still able to seen live. I haven't yet but it's on my bucket list for sure. Great reaction. You get it. Keep up the great work.
I think an underrated performance by them would be "Pray" Live at Red Rocks. It's a live version, totally different to the studio version. It's a must watch.
Beyond Creation will instrumentally blow your cute little mind. 8 String guitars, 6 string bass, drum blast beats the whole way. They shred as a team and it WORKS. BEYOND CREATION - OMNIPRESENT PERCEPTION
You will get some gojira songs recommended more than others but it's really a band worth listening to everything they have put out. Not a single bad song and even the lesser known are big bangers like Liquid Fire
I keep telling this story cuz it was such an amazing feeling. So, last august, i was doing volunteering work in north macedonia. When i was on the plane back home (Belgium), i was playing gojira the whole road. And the moment the plane was almost in the sky, so we were going upwards, i hear the heavy drums and then "the sky is all, over me" from l'enfant sauvage. The moment i was in the clouds. Was an amazing feeling
Agree completely with you discretion on first pause. For that reason, this is still my fav Gojira album. There are a lot more of those 'Beautiful Chaos" moments on this album.
Since you enjoy prog, I think you should definitely check out Mastodon, one of my all time favorite bands.. I know people usually suggest "Oblivion" as an introduction song, but since you really dig artistic instruments, I think "The Czar" (possibly my favorite song) would be perfect.. :)
Gojira are AMAZING. Saw them a few weeks ago on tour. SPECTACULAR band. L'enfant Sauvage is one of my faves. Check out Mars to Sirius, Terra Incognita and their new one Fortitude 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is my fav band, it’s just insane I always stick on one song for a week and then change, my brains weird haha, but it’s always a gojira song Lmfao, I can’t get enough of this band, I have all of the gojira’s album for my CD collection :>
Have u listened to Allt? I love them and definitely hear some Gojira vibes in their music. It's a newer Swedish band with amazing english lyrics, maybe a bit more modern sounding than Gojira though. Love them both (: Cheers!
Un des meilleurs groupe de métal de tous les temps chers amis ricains (et autres) :) quand tu connais , tu peux pas décrocher, c'est une drogue musicale de haute volée, bon kiff les copains
Gojira is always delivering!🤘 Love the heavy music with important messages. Wish me luck with the weather tomorrow! Going to see The Gods of metal JUDAS PRIEST play in beautyful Dalhalla. Stage surrounded by water in an old mine. Swedish weather this time of year can be unpredictable though. Stay Metal! 🤘😎🤘
Just saw Gojira with Deftones and they are such a great li e band!!! I recommend " The gift of guilt" live at Brixton Academy. Watching Mario at the drums is amazing!!!
This reaction was deep. You react to the emotional content first and foremost! A lot of reactors either don't have anything of substance to say, or they're insincere, or they're musicians who get overly bogged down with production details and technicality. I'm a musician as well, but what are we listening to music for? To feel something. And I did feel something when watching your video. And you nailed your analysis of the lyrics, that's exactly what Joe said it's about. You should check out their song Stranded.
Hi I'm French and an absolute fan of gojira it would be great to have your thoughts on gojira's performance at the Olympic games ceremony 😁😁😁😁😁 continue I love what you do
Love it. Can you please do a reaction to "The Shooting Star" live in BBC studio? For a bit of context, in case you don't know, the lead singer and drummer are brothers and the album (Magma) is written about the loss of their mother. Very emotional yet phenomenal. They have so many great songs. They're a band that are somehow far better live than in studio I would say.
wow we seem to share similar music taste! Out of gojira i'd suggest the more atypical pieces, that's where i think they really stand out. I'd like you to love as much as I did the songs Born in Winter (half-ballad, slower and intense) and Global Warming (equally intense, meaningful, inspiring and resolute)
An other french band you may like must be " Trepalium ". They got their own unique style. It's kinda weird in the first place but it's still interresting and enjoyable in the end.
If you like instrumentals, I suggest listening to the instrumental at the beginning of the song Stenian by The Ocean. The song is gorgeous with its musical composition as a whole, but the intro sells it for me, same with the chorus. I'm a sucker for a good instrumental.
You need to make the combo Gojira/Mastodon. Im just waiting for the Mastodon reaction, im sure your mind will blow easily. Those two are the best we have.
Hey, you should take a look at Gojira Global Warming. I dont know what to tell about this song so here what the band say about : A few weeks ago, we played Global Warming together for the first time since the recording of From Mars To Sirius (2004). We never played it live before, as it is a challenging one to play, and place in a set list. It’s emotionally heavy, and would almost “hurt” the rest of the songs in a way. We just really wanted to do this on camera for our fans. Global warming is a reality and a relevant topic, we feel it’s good to be reminded of one of the most important challenges of our time: How to grow as a species without being a parasite to our planet, the only home we have. “We will see our children growing” is a mantra for future generations, and in a figurative way we hope the children in all of us will grow, evolve, and take action for a more compassionate and meaningful world.
Hi Aileen, here to recommend Trivium again. Alex Bent is an incredible drummer and the whole band is incredible. The sin and the Sentence, or Phalanx. 🤘
Do some Type O Negative. Creepy green light, In Praise of Bacchus Gamma World coming down, everyone I love is dead... Throw a dart, Peter Steele was one of the best songwriters ever in music especially when it's actual things that's happened to him
Gojira - The Gift Of Guilt (Live at Brixton Academy) is a must watch. Perfect live performance!
Absolutely
Agreed, this is a powerful live performance
Very much!
True word
I can't watch too much of Joe live, I get a bit... bothered
‘Run away from institutions… I owe myself LIFE’
Does it get better than that lyrically? And Joe sings it like he means it.. absolute passion.
I got L’Enfant Sauvage tattooed on my forearms for that exact lyric
This righteous anger boiling inside of us won’t last forever, Don’t fear to let it out branches have grown through the wolf is your master 🤟🏽🤟🏽

Sauvage actually translates into something closer to Feral than Wild. As in a child raised by wolves.
