    This looks amazing!!! What a beautiful build! Regarding other things to do in the rooms, how about a tea set and maybe a game table for the llama game. I use sabacc in my game as bowling. I like the horseshoes game for my nobles. Though that would suit outdoors more.

    oftentimes, castles would include old greek or roman styles, as knowing about the gods and the heroes was a sign of being cultured and knowledgable. also, the gods showed power, and as having pictures of the christian god is not allowed, the greek/roman gods were the best alternative.
    also, castles either had a really huge garden in between their walls, or a little town for the servants and best workers to live in, depending on where the castle was located :)
    greetings from germany, you have a nice voice :)

    Love it! I was just taking a break from building my castle when u stumbled upon your video and turns out we're building it on the same lot lmao. It was great to see how 2 builds on the same lot with the same idea can turn out so different. I loved your build but my definite favorite part is how you stacked the windows and omg the gorgeous staircase, I'll be stealing stealing those for sure!

    Everything about a medieval castle was built for defense, not religion. This includes the tall towers which the tallest wouldve been called the donjun. This was the most defensive point of the castle as intruders would have to go through every other line of defense first. Castles were built to withstand seizes. I think youre thinking of the spires for cathedrals.

      Also, since castles were mainly for defense than living, most were small, typically a single tower. Yours wouldve def been owned by a wealthy king.

      that's so interesting!! makes sense that defense was their priority. is that why they used stone, or was that just to do with the materials available? thanks for sharing ☺

    • @maiplaysthesims
      @maiplaysthesims  5 месяцев назад

      i wish we had spiral staircases so that small towers would be easier because that would be so fun to make!!

      @@maiplaysthesims funny enough, a good chunk of castles were made of wood, but white washed to look like stone. Which, every castle was whitewashed anyways for aesthetics as well as bringing more light in.

      @@maiplaysthesims also i did manage to find a spiral staircase cc, but it does work best with the tower thats included, not our own made ones.
