I am an ardent listener and fan. Ever since I discovered Oakwood University Church, I have not missed any sermon - In fact I have gone back to listen/watch previous sermons by Pastor Snell. My thoughts on if it is possible to move mountain is - I really do believe it is possible to move mountains and what Jesus Christ said can be taken literally. How were mountains created in the first place? God spoke them into existence - faith anchored in God can also move same mountain. Recall when God asked Moses to speak to the rock so water could come out for the children of Israel? When Moses instead of speaking (which was an opportunity granted to him by God to elevate his faith from physically striking the rock as before - Exo 17:6- to speaking to the rock) struck the rock and God was angry. The bible says God was angry and said "...Because you did not believe Me to hallow Me....". The Red sea which can also be likened to a mountain was parted when Moses stretched out his staff at the command of God. A faith anchored in God can move mountains. The withering of the fig tree was not figurative, it withered for real! Again, the Word of God says "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father" John 14:12. I believe we cannot fully grasp the extent of what we can achieve when all elements of doubts are smothered by a faith anchored in Christ.
The restoration of my marriage was a mountain that seemed it could not move but through intentional prayer, fasting, being vulnerable to truth…God restored! Mountains are moveable with the Power of the Holy Spirit!❤
I needed this, I am at my end of faithfully job hunting for a sustainable role and I have used all Faith formulas. Before, I watched this podcast I had decided that I should settle and accept what is happening to me but after watching this sharing I claim Psalms 84:11 once again ” For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” My career hope is still valid and will happen in this Lifetime and God will move this mountain for His Glory in Jesus’s Name. you and I are in the same boat…..but I decided to rest in Jesus and His promises because He will not Withhold anything good from us. Just trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding
