Quinn the mailman is a good guy. He finds lots of equipment for you.
Agreed, all the more reason to make sure the auger belt isn't slipping as many here have mentioned. That ice block should've either been crushed by the augers, sheared the pins or stalled the 5 hp engine. Quinn's dad won't be happy when he tries to remove more than a half width bucket of a 2 inch powdery snowfall. That belt is either glazed, stretched or the idler pulley needs to be adjusted. The idler pulley bracket on most Ariens blowers is slotted allowing for the pulley to put more tension on the belt. The friction ring is also in need of replacement. Forcing more snow in the blower at too high a gear then it can handle wears the belt prematurely,
Good job Henry.
Nice bro. Still fixed up that ariens for Quinn 💪👍
Good video,we have plenty of that white stuff in Syracuse,n.y.
Very informative and a good deed for Quinn's Dad😀
Check the belt tension on the auger belt.. if it gets in deep snow the belt will slip and machine won’t throw snow very far
Glad it was easy fix , especially for Quinn.
Quinn is da man.
Some fuel clearer additive might help it (sea foam, lucus, gumout etc)
Don't we all need..... A shaft adjustment.... LMAO
A very thorough top to bottom checkup Henry and no repairs needed just some much needed adjustments here and there. My JD1026 tends to shear off those linchpins in the outer axle so I guess I gotta find the better quality ones now. I think because of having tire chains and under heavy snow load it puts a lot of stress on those cheaper pins.
Thx don, good to hear from you again!
Yes that happens all the time, even with Mr. Pender..... Him and I always seem to get the same machines..... You and me too, it's really funny.
I'd take a third hand and engage the impeller with the belt cover off. Check for belt tension and slop in the bearing.
Been using Lucas fuel additive snowblower starts now with one pull and yes it has electric start.
Very helpful Henry I'm learning thank you sir !
When it has a full load of snow, the auger belt may be slipping under load.
Check the pins in the wheel, make sure they are in the correct hole, I just did a ariens and since the woman owned it it always pulled, well the pin on the right wheel was in the free position.
Oh i see you are an ariens snob now lol
Hah! Just a random draw of the cards
@@MowersNBlowers My neighbor got one last year and thinks he is the cats ass until my old craftsman did better than his ariens. My blower has the impeller mod
Been getting a lot of Ariens gona turn into the new Jason please don’t put your hands in there ever I know somebody that was putting their hand in there while the snowblower is off and auger disengaged but it’s still managed to Cut off his finger once he removed whatever was stopping it
I think Knighthawk is right. Why didn't the shear pin break when you caught that piece or ice (rock) in the auger? It would appear that the belt was slipping instead.
Yes it’s probably slipping a bit, but that was ice. It’ll blow snow just fine
Hopefully you did not put your hand near the auger with the engine running?
I did but auger wasn’t engaged
Seems like everyone has an Ariens
Never put your hands or feet. when any machine gets anything jam. You are supposed to unplug the spark plug and used a stick . Anything thats not your body...
Good tip! Hope you’re subscribed

Henry some where in Long Island theres a Ariens dealer that wants to hire you! Lol. You could fix them and sell them bro. Quinn had a good man working on that blower. ❄🌨👍🇺🇸Roger #mnblucas
