I didn’t see either one actually “use” the toilet except to stand and be bathed . Some talk about monkeys being almost as intelligent as humans. Yet they can’t be potty trained??? I had an 8 week old puppy who was housebroken in a week. Yet these “intelligent “ animals can’t be potty trained!! Really?? I have raised this same question on many Monkey Channels for several years, and not once has anyone given me a satisfactory answer! I think that’s because there is no satisfactory answer! Someone wanna take a crack at it?? I’ll be watching for replies!!🤔
From everything I have read, they cannot be toilet trained, as they have no control over their sphincter muscle, so they just pee and poop whenever and wherever. I had one lady tell me that they can be trained, but I have never seen or heard that. I always laugh at these monkey captors when they use the term "toilet trained," because you only ever see them being sprayed clean while standing against the toilet. If you see them actually pee or poop on the toilet, God only knows how long the monkey was made to stand there with a camera recording, until they actually did have to go. These captors think that viewers are stupid. Unfortunately, there are many who believe everything they see and hear on social media. The main issue here, is that stump tailed macaques are classified as vulnerable/endangered and are protected by law. It is extremely illegal to keep them.

I’m curious. Do the monkeys generally hold it all night so when they wake in the morning, you can put them on a toilet stool and they’ll go potty? Do they have any control over going potty or are they not aware at all.
I hear how "intelligent" these wild things are, but they most of them wear a stupid diaper. I'm glad to see they can somehow be trained. My dog and cats are much smarter & no way am I diapering a hairy animal. Kudos for working with them to use the toilet ! I was so happy when my children could use toilet. I don't know how people put up with washing those butts all the time. There's more to life than washing behinds.
