The Eudora level seems to suffer from the same pitfalls as Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, where large swaths of it are devoid of enemies, bolts, crates, or hazards. I think platformers work best when their levels are condensed, but with large unreachable areas to give you a sense of a grander scale.
I remember seeing beta footage of the first planet on youtube years ago. good to see it's somewhat complete. Sad it's never going to be fully complete, but it's great for a small fan project.

Each side of it is side scrolling, bit where the camera rotates around the turbine as we get close to the respective corner. Love the video ^.^

It's pretty cool. I had questioned looking into it at some point. Very great stuff by these people. Good Ratchet fans ideas for thr series. I think some assets are a bit awkward but for a fan game not complaining just saying they may need to avoid using some, colours maybe, design not likely. So they have original design and avoid Sony with close assets. It is similar the Mortar Array is not the same but is very Gravity Bomb like. Still cool weapon name. Besiythe Lancer also (logo, name, design). Always liked the Lancer though. A room trap that's pretty cool and it speeds up thats nice. Side scrolling besides Qwark in R&C very cool. Some old RYNO animation/attacks cool. The swingshot targets like Oltanis to move around the levrl along that Gold Bolt path cool wr need those in Ratchet games more often that's cool. A Gold Bokt avoid the ship hmm so close to thr Oltanis one need the beginning of the level but end of the level to access it. I want grind boot rails that are fast and ducking and jumping. Like Scaler. Scaler made them better woth more obstacles and faster speed. sunset Overdrive having above and below was the closest Insomniac ever did. Scaler had ducking and hanging from leaves. Sunset had it as an option yo hang but you never needed to other than maybe the poles holding them or to be closer to the ground I think more so. Scaler 2004, same year as R&C3. Sonic maybe had somethings for its rails too? No idea. The swingshot section reminded me of Size Matters Dayni Moon or R&C2 Barlow for some reason. You can make circles in OG Ratchet games. Not forced ones for thr target but you can swing. Circles I know bectwhen I want to go other directions I go in circles. Its possible. I mean gadgets/inventory changed in the later games. Even Crack in Time had weapons, gadgets, items all in 1 menu. Yeah but the fan game doesn't have same amount of assets, cutscenes, and mhch more, so thats why the levels reload all the time, let alone as much buildings/environment assets, whatever bolt randomisation maybe, details and more thats why load screens. Rift Apart has differences for sure of modern safe design its far from ghe old games at this point itd Tools of Destruction. Also what we expect of old Ratchet versus new Ratchet games. I mean Uncharted and others have done that. Insomniac themselves I don't think has done that not for Ratchet forget about their other games. Pretty cool Gold Bolt camera viewpoint to showcase where it is. Qell it qas 10 originally then upgraded further. Interesting music swap. Muaic copyright too careful. Just as much weapon/character/level assets. New movesets is always cool. Spyro Myths Awaken to then Zera was cool. Shooting on gravity walls was cool in 2 onwards after not being able to in R&C1, so in water would be nice. Even Ratchet 2&3 have odd quick select moments at least on Vita not PS2/3 I found at least. Or from what I remember with analogue sticks. The remasters feel. Mini Turret too id a bit too close. R&C1 is a platformer with PUZZLE LIKE WEAPONS so fair amount of action focus. Strafe sure wasn't there and they added it in 2 and they wanted to in 1 but didn't due to time. Strafe is fine but not that important you know why. In R&C yes but at the same time in most games strafe is forced and terrible for anything but combat or even in modern MATURE games combat it sucks. Gears of War inspired, Last of Us, God of War, Order 1886. They all suck. Ratchet pulls it off well but for platforming it's horrible so lock strafe on and off or L2/R2 to have it but not all the time. I like R&C for it's puzzle aspects even if the Taunter/Mine Glove aren't the best combo so I use Taunter for a skill point or boxes and that's it. But most people love action so eh. Thruster pack is fine but if you want rockets and fast landing sure but otherwise nope Helipack and slow hover but that's just me. I do miss the Thruster pack door locks though they gave some fair use for it. The Ratchet 2 VR game has its differences but is coming along well. You can't long jump in Rift Apart? Maybe the lock strafe you can't? Either way Crack in Time started changes, Rift Apart is scripted and terrible so to me its dead to me. It's safe cinematic Tools of Destruction aka early console life not very fun experience. It's fine but not tech pushing, give me dynamic rifts or a portal gun for the yellow ones around certain levels. Give the player control or the game control not safeness of a theme park ride with barely anything of thrills.
I'm assuming it's because ratchet does not start with clank and didn't have a robot friend til he gets kit a few levels later. So they just replaced them with the hoverboots entirely so it's not unfair. I guess 😢

I imagine there wouldn't be much of a copyright issue if the guy made all the assets himself I recognise most of the assets currently here from the 1st trilogy I hope this guy ends up replacing the placeholder assets with his own so it can be released, as i think the series is starving for Fan-made titles, and new releases in general

Bro you have no idea what your talking about, this is the furthest thing from a mod. It's the Ratchet and Clank engine fully remade in Unreal Engine 4. I've downloaded and messed around with it before and its definitely worth being praised simply because of how accurate the original creator (ruclips.net/video/rEDrjBQ6I5E/видео.html) got it. Keep in mind, they did use insomniac assets (models, etc) but they did have to fully remake everything code-wise from scratch to get it this accurate. This guy did a ton of work and if he took off all the Ratchet and Clank related assets, it would be a full original work. He deserves credit.

The reason he was "stopped" is cause this isnt technically a "Fan Game" just a "Mod" I would compared it to something like Tomb Raider Level Editor levels but those were created with official level creating program made specifically for that... this on the other hand was illegally created using the RaC2 game assets in probably what is an illegally moded original game engine... so there is nothing to be praised here (Animations, UI... etc.) since everything in it was created by INSOMNIAC Games (!!!) and the guy who "created" this only created the Level Layout/Map ! 😉

Bro you have no idea what your talking about, this is the furthest thing from a mod. It's the Ratchet and Clank engine fully remade in Unreal Engine 4. I've downloaded and messed around with it before and its definitely worth being praised simply because of how accurate the original creator (ruclips.net/video/rEDrjBQ6I5E/видео.html) got it. Keep in mind, they did use insomniac assets (models, etc) but they did have to fully remake everything code-wise from scratch to get it this accurate. This guy did a ton of work and if he took off all the Ratchet and Clank related assets, it would be a full original work. He deserves credit.
