Nothing is a sure thing in horse racing even though Flightline looks invincible. Horse racing is not about running fast, but it’s about how a horse can complete with other horses in a race which is including pace, pressure, space, ground saving , track condition, traffic and of course luck. I cannot wait for the Breeder Cup Classic 2022.
If Flightline is as good as I think he is, everyone else is running for a distant place and show. I love some of the others but Flightline is a freak of nature. He does everything so effortlessly that the jockey just has to hold on and stay with him.
Charge It. Anything Tapit I'm in. He's dealt with alot but I had him fav all year. Got his breathing right won by 23 lengths. I believe Flightline and We The People also goes back to Tapit. 👍👍
Any horse can lose at any time. Some horses run lights out for their career then all of the sudden fade, etc. The way it looks right now its Flightline in a class of his own. Like.... Flightline then a huuuuge gap back to LIG, Epicenter and the rest of the best. Flightline could miss the start, get boxed in, lose a shoe, get an injury, etc. Minus any of that happening, he looks like he is a 6+ lengths the best in the BCC. His resume through 5 races....wow....he's won at every distance, he's ran fast times, he's beaten good horses, he's rated behind another fast horse, and his margins of victory are astonishing. He could have SHATTERED the Del Mar track record had he been pushed. He woulda beat it had he not been revved down. 5 races isn't many, but I've watched horse racing HEAVILY since 1997...and so far....he looks to be the best I've seen. That being said, of course he could come out and run 8th in the BCC. I've seen "sure things" do it before.
That would be a mistake if the best horse on the planet is in the Classic, FLIGHTLINE. I wasn’t sure about him until the Met Mile,he made a believer out of me. He ran away from the field under a hand ride in 1:33 2/5 . I don’t think Jack Christopher or Jackies Warrior wanted any part of him.
If you want a 2nd or 3rd check then bring your horse. You would have to crazy to he money against flighline. This is not no fluke horse. The motions and fluidness are all real. The class of impressive moves are limited 'Secreteriat,Arszi, Arrogate>Flighline.
I was at Belmont Park on the day of the match race when Ruffian was in the lead and broke down, I was 13 with my older brother and had him put my last $6 on 3 two dollar tickets for Ruffian and I still have them since 1973.
Flightline after a slow start did six furlongs in 1 : 08 what would he be had he started fast this is is a total monster the only defeat for Flightline is accidents or not being sound all things equal this horse is totally invincible
Not that I'm a big fan of Rich Strike, he did have 1great day that throws his name in the mix. have his connections decided if he's running the Classic?
Epicenter and Life is Good are genuine superstar horses! They just bumped into the best horse in 50 years in Flightline. Any other year and they’d be considered monsters! 😂😂
@Lord Farquard… Life is Good yes he is,and he’s not out of the picture yet. If there’s one horse that could upset Flightline he’s it . Epicenter has been beaten by lesser horses than Flightline and Life is Good. He won the prestigious Travers but was defeated by Rich Strike in the Kentucky Derby and Early Voting in the Preakness both very good horses.
@@valerieteti1755 No disrespect, is Valerie your given name or comment name? But leave it to a woman when it comes to money they’ll figure it out. A million bucks for second! !.
I think they will . You have some very good three yr olds like Epicenter, Charge It, Mo Donegal, Zandon, Cyberknife and don’t forget Rich Strike, there all Grade 1 winners. Then you have older horses, you saw them in the PC Classic and maybe a few from overseas, that adds up to a decent size field, something Flightline isn’t accustomed to.You never know, if he doesn’t break well and has a inside post he could get hemmed in,not necessarily on the rail, but between horses. Thats why they race them on the track. Besides like Valerie says, second place is worth a million bucks .
Any horse can get beaten ? It's gonna take a lot of things to go wrong in the Classic to lower Flightline's colours though? Epicentre is the best of the rest a good horse in his own right .
Epicenter is a very good horse in his own right. He’ll have to beat older horses in the Classic, if Life is Good a four year old is in it,hell have his work cut out for him. Then there are a lot of talented horses also, Grade1 winners at one time or another. Personally I don’t think Epicenter has reached that plateau yet . Thats why they run these races, anything can happen.
Yes they can beat her. Mo donegal beat her at 1.5…..but go ahead enter her..shes running great. But is a virtual lock for the Philly classic…….she cant beat the top boys unless a fluke happens….

I am always in the mood for discussion because European racing are premium on stamina testing with some speed, while American racing is base exclusively on speed endurance. That's why, when the track is tiring with some moisture the European horses will be running home quicker and contested pace plays into their wheel house 70 %% of the time.I love tough competition to determine greatness and not easy field to try and race the clock.Does not prove everything in horse racing. The fastest a horse can run without breather is for (4) four furlong and quarterback horse racing is 4 1/2 furlong. While thorough bred race over distance like Frankel and Secretariat to prove superiority on any surface along with real competition.Enough said in a nutshell.
@@esmondrose5294 There is nobody can say I'm sure Baaeed could win virtually any 1mile race if he went to USA. I would imagine he beats every horse but Flightline would be a race of the ages. Flightline would've set a world record time at the Pacific Classic if he wasn't jogging around the track then eased sixteenth of a mile from the the finish line. PC was just a easy workout for FL. The Bids world record would've been decimated easily. Possibly a sub 1:57.

That move Jose Ortiz did with early voting at the end saved the Preakness win.

Flightline has similar times to ruffian based on the distances it has run...obviously fllightline is one year older than Ruffian
