I never thought I'd be shattered by the news of someone's demise whom I've never met in person. My deepest condolences. Even if all classical Indian dances have their charm, I feel that there’s something special about Kathak. It has:
* grace/nazaakat,
* soft expressions that aren’t too theatrical but just right
* balance between fast and slow (thehraao in both)
* natural stance and posture that seems harmonius with the human body
* precision (like all other classical dances)
* something soothing...like a natural feel
* decency somehow...non-offensive or suggestive to bad things
Anyway, this was so soothing to watch. Truly decent performance!
