Very well done, thank you!! All the other tutorials I checked out talked to me like I knew what I was doing and what was going on, I don't XD Thank you so much for keeping it super simple and showing every step like this is our first time ever using a pi. Took me almost 2 hours, but it works!!!

Good video... I don't know if you might be able to answer this. Would you happen to know what setting needs to change in the UDM pro section? The edge I notice you had 2 different places what about UDM-pro one?

I notice how you didn't set the pi-hole IP as static, so if the router reboots it might be assigned to another ip

This step-by-step guide shows you how to set up Pi-Hole on Ethernet regardless of your router setup. But it does contain special instructions towards the end that apply to owners of Ubiquiti hardware.
Skip to 13:18 if all you want are the Ubiquiti nameserver/DNS settings.

Also, at the step of flashing pi os, click the setting icon to enable ssh without needing to add ssh file

I don't get what the bonjour was for. When did you use it?

Bonjour allows you to detect devices (like our Pi-Hole) on our network. It needs to be installed so you can properly change the hostname (that is Steps 12 and 13). You don't need to launch the application after installing it since it's set to automatic startup every time.

Would be nice to know how to stop devices that use public DNS such as Cloudflare and Google DNS some devices don’t use the pie hole such as chrome and other IOT like devices. These Devices bypass pie hole completely.

Will look into this. Chrome presents a lot of challenges for the Pi-Hole. There used to be some common methods for getting Pi-Hole to work on Chrome but it always gets quickly patched out by Chrome's dev team. Getting Pi-Hole to consistently work on Chrome is like hitting a moving target but I will share any progress on this!

@@JeremyY @RageQuitPanda69 I think you need to block DNS requests via firewall rules so only your Pihole can do requests. DNS and DNSTLS use TCP and UDP with port number 53 and 853.
