Amazing! I was especially impressed with the responsive huggy laser panda factory. Very clever design to split into interlocking pieces and also looked really cool.
I'm starting to see more animation on the web. But It seems to usually be limited to thing like basic transitions or hover and click states. I love the examples given and am anticipating as the designers learn more about animation they will want to integrate it as a part of the Site's experience. This will give developers more opportunities to start reshaping and build a cooler UI/UXs.
So... for someone with more of the art side of design... with medium familiarity with css and js... Is Green Sock Animation Platform the best place to focus attention? Or is there something better? Keep in mind... I'm more artist than programmer but I do have a strong background in various languages... I just wouldn't call myself a guru in any of them at all.. This was also a very nice presentation on SVG animation (even though I am so late to the party)...
Is this not a return to the animations we used to create in Flash back in the day? I love animated svgs but wonder how long it will be before the bubble bursts.
Can I get paid for doing this? Because I love vector graphics and have an animation background. We can get so many realistic effects with this. Will share my work.
You big up Paul Irish who made what again? Nerds create stuff for others to use. You didn't big up Dimitry but why? The jquery maker aka a few of them collectively were helping others lazy ways and so was dimitry but he did it single handed..
I don't like the direction. It is encouraging people who don't have any other skills than JS to enter this field. The type of people who use canvas when they need a circle. The type of people who use JS-player to show a video in HTML5. The type of people whose websites contain nothing until JS is allowed. The bad people. The animations in the video are very nice, but I can do them with SMIL or CSS. There is of course a way to arrange animations in a timeline in SMIL.
Honey, you're years too late for the JS only types to invade. They invaded ages ago when Node.js became a thing. Also, being honest. Most of the CSS hacks I've seen on the web are completely unreadable. In comparison to even minified javascript that was hacked together, which is still somewhat readable.
Love the talk, watched it twice & bookmarked for watching again. So much useful info, thanks Creative Bloq & Sarah.
This was one of the greatest videos/presentation I have watched. Open my mind regarding svg animations
KarlHid seriously? ? Go watch dimitry, you must be just watching the female.
This is such an amazing presentation. So inspiring and informative. I'm on my second time watching it and still absorbing new tips and tricks!
That, event-driven, city construction animation @21:20 was AMAZING.

happy thoughts... don't create anything you or another wouldn't want.
"willing to wait" the key takeaway!

What's up 2019?
8:00 We have imprinted many moments of feeling frustrated with the image of the standard loading animation, while a custom animation has novelty.
Change yourself and spread out... burst the flame that lights the galaxy... increase the size and diversity.
Hi, the sag can be use in full screen, like a signage for example.?
Awesome talk! Thanks! :)
Really nice, thank you!

I hate to comment on how she looks, I don't want to take away from how talented she is, but that smile!
Are people who do this developers and graphic designers who specialize in SVG animation? or do they have a different title?
"Really really" great presentation.

designers dont use svg enough, it's so flexible and neat
The problem with GSAP is the licensing model.

JS has matured alot, anything is possible!!!
