@@BlessedisShe they have more general religious questions and sometimes I think people are ashamed to ask about things not religious because it shouldn't be their focus. On youtube I have seen some video mass interviews where people can write in questions where they sometimes will mention things about cooking, laundry, vacations, and even fans, air cond. etc. Everyone adjusts to some things in community but some can't live with as much austerity as one order might have but that is okay. If called there, you can.
@@hayleymarse2853 Yes I was hearing that but sadly they seem to think if they went home the first few years that something might happen. Priests in general though and Friars seem to have a lot more time for vacation and family visits and things like that. But I guess you know this going in so you are prepared. It is more radical way of living and loving God
@@deb9806 it’s also very dependent on order! These Dominicans get way less vacation time than the Sisters of Life. That being said, most of them get sent out to camps or different churches in the summer for a short amount of time and they aren’t “on duty” per say the same way they are during the school year
That’s it - I’m moving to MN to hang out with y’all! 🤣 Love this beautiful, joyful energy!!

They get week long visits to see family every year or every few years. I believe they take retreats sometimes in order to grow in their faith!
