- With covid-19 disrupting in-branch banking, banks’ apps have seen a surge in new users. The State Bank of India’s (SBI) Yono app has reportedly been adding 70,000 new users every day. SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar told Mint earlier in September that the number of registered Yono users has hit 27 million at present against 20 million on 5 March.
As more and more first-time app users come on board, the chances of fraud also climb. Here are a few things that new users should keep in mind to avoid being defrauded.
The next step is setting a strong password. “Ensure you have thought about a password that isn’t predictable by fraudsters and isn’t similar to the date of birth or names of family members," said Rajesh Mirjankar, managing director and CEO, Infrasoft Technologies. He added that while it was not advisable to write down passwords, if you do need to note down sensitive details, keep them in a password-protected file. It is also advisable to change banking passwords periodically.
Also note that your bank is not going to ask you for your login details, so make sure not to divulge them to anyone as they may be posing as a bank representative.

सबसे सही तरीका तुरन्त ऐसी काॅल को डिस्कनेक्ट करके ,अपनी बैंक ब्रांच पर जाकर मैनेजर से मिलिए।
बचने का तरीका तो बता ही रहा है ओटीपी नहीं देना

Excellent! Had been in the same situation for IDFC and actually got message of zero balance. But I refused to entertain the caller. I lodged the police complaint also. On enquiry with bank cc number, I was told that FD was made from the amount on my name. Because of pandemic, after two months I approached bank and got my money back

Dosto online banking aur koi bhi business ek Dhaka hai .aise behave ke upar sarkar (govt )ka javab hona koi nahi jo samaj sakta ki fraud ka pata lagana aur unko saha dena mere sath bhi kbc fraud hua hai
To make ppl understand, you should also explain, how these fraud ppl know about all account details and initiate otp.. we know these frauds but want to know how they do it..

Best solution of such scam is never tell anything on phon or caller. Go to Bank directly. Never pickup any mails from these chaps. And donnot even sen any query to it. If any amount is iso deducted go to your bank and give inwriting for such transactions.

भाई आपने इस वीडियो में तो गलती कर दी सबसे पहले यह फ्रॉड के पास हमारी डिटेल पैन कार्ड या हमारा बैलेंस कितना है वह कहां से आया सिर्फ रोड का हमारा नंबर ही पता होता है या नाम पता होता है पैन कार्ड के बारे में तो पता हो ही नहीं सकता नहीं उसे हमारे बैलेंस के बारे में पता चल सकता है
