I am going to try Katia stretch yarn. There are some another stretch yarns : Fixaçao from Circulo Brands (on Ebay by Yarnstick) and I think that Carolina yarn is stretch too, but I am not sure. And Kamtec brand proposes a stretch yarn too, and Rico Superba coton comfort too. Yes...it is Acrylic...but ...I don't know if it has some stretch in it...what I would do is make a swatch and soak it in water...see how it reacts....;-)
