Perhaps it’s me being greedy, but I felt this deserved one of those 3 round format battles. The 3 round Max Sorich and Brandon Kieffer was epic, having the space to breath, build momentum, and really hit it’s stride, and John and Andrew’s battle (especially with what was on the line) I felt deserved that same magnitude. Both of these guys are amazing and it felt like the battle ended too soon. 5 joke limits raise the standard of what each joke’s quality must be, but in turn, doesn’t let the battle breath enough to see as much of the “off the cuff/playing off each other’s personality” moments, unfortunately. Either way, both of you are elite; great job. (I know, too long, no one read; my bad. Either way, helps the algorithm 🎉)
They’re going to be rematching at nycc this week for the nyc belt. That battle will be 13 jokes. We snuck this one in so we could have it before the end of the league season
