You deserve 1m+ subscribers po, thanks Doc for sharing skin health ❤ I hope you make a video on teenage acne naman po :)) Stay safe and healthy po in this pandemic.
Thanks for these infos Doc! :) Question though in using sheet masks for acne-prone skin, when do you use a mask as part of your skin regimen? Is there a specific time interval of using it before you apply your usual products? Also, I hope you can make a video about Isotretinoin and other oral medicines for acne-related skin. Thanks so much! :)
Paolo Fernandez hi paolo! Since sheet masks are primarily meant to hydrate/moisturize and deliver products more efficiently, once or twice a week should be ok. For acne prone-skin once a week is more than enough. And in order to maximize the benefits from the mask, i would recommend that you don’t apply anything to your skin after :) Yes cge ill work on acne-related posts :) thank you for the recommendation! ☺️☺️
Hi Doc can you Review Best International Products like Cosrx, Some By Mi, Cerave, The Inkey List, The Minimalist, Cetaphil and Best Philippine Available Products. What it is suits for, is it safe to use, is it fits for tropical country and many more Thanks!
Rose Ann de Chavez hello! If you have mostly comedones (no red inflamed lesions), u can use products with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both are over the counter. Advisable also to exfoliate regularly to prevent build-up ang clogged pores. If its more than that, i recommend you come and see a dermatologist:)
Ricar Apas hello! Yes! Ung variation is more dependent on skin type, although in general male skin usually contains more oil glands and are thicker than females.
Doc, you mentioned din on your vid that it is ok to use toner with exfoliator everyday? Even for sensitive skin po iyon? I have a toner with 1% PHA that I am using every other day kasi pero gusto ko sana every day na gamitin. Mejo scared lang ako kasi may PHA and I have sensitive/acne prone skin :)
CSG PHA toners are usually mix of acids, 1% is low concentration and for me it’s ok to use everyday. But as with any other product, if your skin reacts, discontinue use or resuce frequency. Hiyangan dn kc talaga, minsan even those with non-sensitive skin will react if hindi bagay sa skin nila ung product :)
Doc, need po ba ang oil/balm cleanser to remove cream sunscreen or enough na po un facial cleanser if I don’t apply makeup naman? I want to add sunscreen po kasi sa routine ko pero I don’t have balm/oil cleanser. Facial wash lang ang gamit ko. How about micellar water po to remover sunscreen? Thank you po :)
CSG hello! Micellar cleansers are good enough to remove sunscreen and even make up. But even if you use balm cleansers and micellar cleansers kailangan parin ng facial wash if youre removing make up and oil. Depending on the ingredients of your sunscreen, most can be effectively removed by your normal cleanser naman :) In my experience, ung mga tinted and thick preparations ang kailangan gamitan ng balm emulsions or micellar cleansers.
Dr. Gaile Robredo-Vitas Thank you, Dra. for the reply. I am not sure if familiar po kayo sa Purito Unscented Sunscreen un po un nakikita ko na suitable for sensitive skin like mine. Do you think po a facial cleanser is enough? Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Glycerin, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Dibutyl Adipate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Sorbitan Stearate,Centella Asiatica Extract(4315ppm), Madecassoside,Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol
Hello Doc. This is for oily and acne-prone skin po.
Hi! To start, I use foaming facial cleansers once in a while -- so yes, they are ok to use. But you're right, pH of cleansers matter. Those with acidic pH (eg. 5.5) are ideal for the skin but those with oily and acne-prone skin do ok with cleansers with neutral pH (eg. foaming cleansers) Most foaming cleansers made by reputable brands contain moisturizers to counter the possible drying effect they can have. Ako i recommend that you use cleansers that dont leave your skin feeling dry, tight or stretched and one that doesn't cause ur skin to be sensitive, reactive or irritated -- signs that your skin barrier may be compromised. But ultimately, go for one that you like, one that works on your skin and addresses your needs and concerns. To be honest, there's really a lot of things to consider in terms of choosing products in general -- your skin type, skin issues, preferences and a skincare routine is very personalized. Most of the time trial and error talaga cya.
@@irenegaile Thank you Doc. I use Senka Perfect Whip which is known to have a pH around 8 but it works perfectly with my oily and acne prone skin, followed by pH neutralizing toner like Soon Jung. I only use it at night though. I use a more gentle cleanser in the morning. I tried gel cleansers also but for some reason, they don't work well with my skin.
@@clerkhazelgracebellen2941 I would say use what works best for your skin :) we give recommendations but ultimately it still depends on many factors - how your skin reacts, your preferences etc :)
Lalalalala lisa ganyan talaga ang inflammatory acne. I suggest you see a dermatologist kc u need medication na :) pls send me a private message in my fb or ig (@irenegaile) accounts.
Soap free is a term used to refer to cleansers with mild surfactants. Soap-free cleansers are good enough to adequately clean your face without stripping off all the oils and lipids on the skin.
