thank you thank you THANK YOU for being brave enough and having the confidence to post videos of acne/scarring coverage. your videos have helped me out figure out to hide my scarring the best and has raised my confidence level a ton. so on behalf of girls with acne and scarring everywhere, thanks a million(:
I tried this today. Not sure if the formula is the same as when this video was made, but I do have oily skin and this was an oil slick on me by the end of the day. It also set into my lines, wrinkles and pores. It will not be replacing my neutrogena skin clearing foundation with it as I had planned. I’m looking for a “higher quality” Holy grain foundation, but nothing has been as good as the neutrogena for me yet.
I had this put on by an It Cosmetics makeup artist at Ulta and she said the cc cream should be applied with a brush. The heat from your fingers breaks down the product, defeating the "full coverage" effect. It works great for me with a brush!
+Jalyssa Hernandez that's so weird, if you watch the It Cosmetics videos they're always applying it with their fingers and I'm pretty sure that's how they say to apply it on the "instructions" online too but you're totally right, if looks so much better with a brush
This makes no sense, my face is hot in the summer, so body heat whtjere it originates from fingers or face will break down the product if the Ulta artist is correct.
Apply this with a brush, especially with breakouts. When my skin is behaving, I don't need to build and I need very little attention to apply this. When I have breakouts it can use a little building. This product oxidizes and after it sets I fall in love w/ it more. Also, you could've used the "light" shade instead of fair and you might like it more.
I also have this and have real bad scarring that looks like bad hyperpigmentation and I use a primer and use a beauty blender and set it with powder and it works amazingly! I Love it!
I have this foundation and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I've tried so many for my sensitive dry skin and usually regular full coverage foundation is to cakey and regular BB and CC creams don't cover at all so this actually is full cover on my face. I only have to do one layer and I use a beauty blender and it goes on perfect. It also leaves me with a pretty luminous glow but feels super soft to the touch so yeah no complaints this is def my new fave!! I would try a beauty blender for sure :) dabbing it in seems to do best for me at least.
I have rosacea and find that the best application is to use a buffing brush (I use IT Cosmetics) Stipple it on working in sections, and than leave it be!
if you're ever going to use your fingers for a produs: eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation; please please please, do not rub it in. tapping and pressing will allow the product to seep into the pores and allow for the best coverage, and it will not add irritation to your skin.
Belen Bustillos ring finger is the only tool I can use to tap in peach color corrector for my lovely dark circles otherwise it just comes off no matter how I try. As Happy Gilmore said...just tap it in. Great tip!
Apply it with a kabuki brush for fuller coverage for sure! I think you're really gonna like this product while on Accutane since your skin will be so dry and sensitive to the sun so the SPF will help (although you'll need an additionally SPF underneath if you're actually going to be sitting out in the sun or at the beach). I find this product has actually helped my skin and blemishes. :)
This is one of my favorites for everyday! But you are right, its not long lasting especially for oily/combo skin! I think your skin looked so radiant and beautiful though even at 5 hrs!
What do you think is the best way to set it to make it long wearing? My makeup artist plans to use this on me on my wedding day, but for the trial I realized it transferred very easily. Is there a certain setting powder or setting spray that you feel works best with this CC cream?
i put on cc cream + concealer only..it stays like all day so do with my eyeshadow since i use no else product on my face cuz im not so good with product..it not so thick compared to foundation..i ve pimple skin
Looks pretty good for a CC cream! Thanks so much for being yourself and showing your acne prone skin, it really helps everyone else with acne find products that work!
This is one of my favorite products. I have dry skin. Sometimes if I need more coverage I'll put a thin layer of this and then go over it with a thin layer of foundation like the UD Naked Skin. By the way for Canadians that wanna purchase this go to The Shopping Channel's website. They have deals on it all the time and usually you'll even get an It Cosmetics brush in a kit for the same price.
I think it looks really great on you :) As they say, it looks like your skin, but better (which is how it's marketed) I use this on the weekends when I don't feel like a big full face of heavy makeup.
girl i know you mentioned you like full coverage, but your skin looks gorgeous and so natural with what you put on in this video! Thank you for such an informative video, you just convinced me to go out and grab this product because i wasn't too sure if it would cover up my acne scars!!
The woman at sephora recommended the 'Make Up Forever Matte Skin' foundation (in shade 30 for me, which I think is the lightest) when I asked her for a foundation for oily skin with acne. She tried it on me while in the shop and it looked really good, you should try it!! I am definitely buying it when it's in stock :) x
You will get way more coverage with a flat top brush. Fingers just move the product around. If you use the flat top you can pat it on areas you want to cover to appropriately layer
I agree! I was just applying it the way they recommended it, that's typically how I try to use it for these reviews and they made it look so easy in all their videos haha
Hi Sweetie....so good of you to do these types of videos....you must be such an inspiration to other gals that are dealing with acne....I hope the Accutane does the trick for you. You are such a pretty girl....love those green eyes and that smile and I love your natural eyebrows best... take care and hope you're feeling better soon. oxoxoxox
I've always used naked foundation but I got introduced to this at Ulta out of the blue and I LOVE IT. I've always used Naked for about 3 years so I was kind of hesitant to change but I love it! And I also love the concealer. Credits to the girl at Ulta for knowing my exact color and what I wanted
Hey Sari, how is your experience with Accutane so far? Are you planning on doing an update/journey series on it? :-) also, glad to see another foundation testing video again. You're the go-to RUclipsr for these types of videos imo. The coverage doesn't seem as good as they claim but it does look natural. I'd heard a lot about this one but stayed away since it's a CC cream, but maybe I'll try it out now! Also, it would be cool if you did half of your face with the Beauty Blender and half with a brush.
I just started using this CC cream a couple weeks ago, I have pretty dry skin, especially when i wear foundation, and this has been amazing! It definitely is more medium coverage (I get a couple acne spots still peeking), but it holds my concealer pretty well. My normal foundation routine, I would always have serious flaking and pealing of my skin i was so dry, but using this CC foundation, I've been super normal throughout the day.
Oh my gosh, as soon as I saw this in my notifications I was so excited, and my initial thought was "please do the lock it tattoo foundation next!" so yes, please please please do it!!! 😻💕 SariReanna
Hi- thanks for this review! Yours are always so thorough. Have you ever tried the Boscia BB cream and/or the Dr Jart Premium? If so, how do those compare to the It CC or just in general??
This product applies PERFECTLY with a DRY beauty blender. I know that sounds crazy dry...I know but it look flawless. Try it:) it gives better coverage than a brush or fingers because it doesn't give streaks
I personally haven't tried this product but I plan on buying it very soon and I've seen some people pat it in with like 3 fingers so they get more coverage and maybe that would help with the streakiness?? Just a suggestion! :)
I know I comment something similar to this on all of your foundation first impressions, but I appreciate that you do these so much! I only have tried drugstore foundations, but I am thinking of venturing into the world of high end foundations if it means I can get the coverage I want. I'm very frugal, so before I spend the money, it is really helpful to see if the product will live up to the expectations I have! I'm thankful that you did this because this product has been all over youtube but I don't think I will be spending the money. I think you should try the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness, I've heard great things about that!
Fair. It's the lightest one. During the summer I have to mix Fair and Light together because they don't have a large color range. Fantastic product though!
First time watching and now subscribing! Could you please do a review on the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation? I'd really love to hear your take on it. Would reaally appreciate it! Thanks! :)
This is one of my Go-To's!! I think it looks amazing on you Sari :) Ive used this for about a year now and its perfect for summer! great coverage, feels light on the skin and has SPF :)
If you want full coverage or more coverage you use a flat top brush.... If you use your hands it don't give you much coverage because your running product into the skin & a beauty blender takes away coverage it soaks it up on the sponge so idk why you used those two when everyone knows they steal coverage away... But overall love your reviews & it covered everything for me &I I have dark acne scares & acne & it did a great job
anayssa8874 saying everyone knows isn’t a very nice way to say something for future reference. I find what you say to be true about the beauty blender for this product.
I have acne and scarring but rednes is my main key as long as it covers my redness I’m good . I don’t like to cke makeup so this is great product I don’t mind having scares peak thru
I love watching your reviews, most you tuber I watch are more dry skin, and my skin is similar to yours , where I am oily and have a lot of hyper pigmentation on my cheeks.
I love it. It definitely makes my skin look smoother and much less cakey bc i have dry spots and acne scabs. It definitely gives that dewey look. and the illuminating pressed powder is great too!
I have really been wanting to try this and I think you have me sold. I will probably buy the smaller size or sample size first though. I always apply BB and CC creams with my fingers because I think they set kind of fast and also, the beauty blender sheers them out a little.
+Natalee Narmore Yeah I've tried applying it with the Beauty Blender right from the start since filming this and it definitely cuts down on the coverage significantly! Let me know what you think if you try it :)
You look good! Just a tip, i have about your complexion and used the "light" instead of the fair (eventhough I'm casper) and it blended in well and i liked it so just a suggestion :)
For some reason my intro's have been out of focus lately too haha! I go through phases with this product. Some months I'll love it - others I'll hate it and think it feels heavy. Great video (:
I'd love to see a first impressions/review for the Boujior CC cream (not sure if that's the name). I have seen quite a few people rave about that brand and that particular product, but I've been a bit iffy trying. Also I really love your first impressions, so thank you for doing them :) I only found you recently but seeing someone talk about their acne so openly has really helped me with dealing with my skin especially since all of my friends have flawless skin and they just don't understand why I just don't wear make up, or "just wash my face more".. So thank you :)
I would recommend testing the new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea broad spectrum spf 15 water foundation. I thought it was supposed to be a sheer coverage bc it was a water foundation. Was surprisingly very lightweight medium buildable to full coverage. Might be what you were expecting out of this CC cream
Thank you! Was on the fence about purchasing this. I will not because I definitely need more coverage. BTW would love it if you can review their bye bye redness correcting creme.
This lady at ulta applied this to my skin but added a primer that she was selling I assume..it looked like crap! But I still do want to try it without a primer..glad u did a review:)
I just bought this in light. I have roscacha and dry skin so I'm hoping this works for me. my current foundation boirjois is ok for drugstore but I'm hoping thus is better.
Thank you for doing this review, I have been waiting for someone with acne prone skin to do a review on it! It's such a good time too because The Shopping channel has it as their today's showstopper in supersize with a brush for $59!! I usually have oily skin but being on accutane it changed my skin to dry so maybe this would work good now. I still have lots of scaring and some acne popping up occasionally so I need full coverage as well. I liked how it looked on your in the first few hours but yes I wouldn't be impressed either if my makeup melted and came off in spots like what happened to you. Thank you for doing this review :)
+Louisa S Okay I seriously need to check out the Shopping Channel! I think if your skin is already more dry from Accutane it'll probably work well for you, I think it's just because I'm still so oily that I had those issues at the end of the day. I feel like I'm actually really going to love this product as I start to see more results/side effects from Accutane, it's very hydrating and of course the SPF is a must while your skin is extra sensitive, and the coverage will really great as my scarring fades. I'm glad you enjoyed the review Louisa :)
Like this for my summer foundation. Crazy thing is this isn't even their luminous foundation. That's in the pink packaging. I do have oily skin but my acne isn't that bad anymore. I do prefer using a brush with this foundation and use powder. I usually have a powder on me during summer anyways because like all oily girls summer is my enemy lol.
Have you tried the loreal infallible pro-matte foundation and powder? I have similar skin to yours with the same kind of acne and hyper pigmentation and I really like it, but a review from you might help a lot of people out and it might be worth trying to see if you like it since it's drugstore! (:
I have been mixing this foundation with the cover fx custom cover drops with an oval brush. I LOVE the coverage of that and the finish... issue I'm having is that my ABH highlight looks cakey with this foundation and it transfurs on my glasses like CRAZY. let me know if anyone has any tips for the highlight because that's what's killing me
I, like you, prefer a fuller foundation. So, what I was doing, after a applying & letting it set, I used their pressed powder foundation. Together it had much better coverage but I felt like I was applying makeup twice 😕 Anyway, been watching your other videos. Just watched your Kat Von D review, going to try that one today. Thanks!
I noticed nars sheer glow isnt in your info box - i got it recently and loving it:) and i also have combo/oily acne prone skin. So far it doesnt get oily on me at all. :)
Hi Sari! I've been watching your videos lately and I really enjoy them :) regarding the translucent powder that you're wearing to set your makeup, I believe is not oil free? I went to check their website and it didn't say that it was oil free anywhere, so maybe it'd be a good idea to see if it doesn't break you out any further or clog your pores , I know the Laura Mercier one did that to me, so I only use it on special ocassions :/ Best wishes from México! 💋
I mix mine with the loreal true match foundation and loved the results. it is more full coverage but still feels light and improved the quality and texture of my skin
Try applying with a flat top brush. Marissa Lace here on RUclips always raved about this tuff and she had dark scarring too. Check her foundation videos out!
+SariReanna no problem! Skin issues can be so frustrating, I know. I was oily for years and then one day I woke up and my skin was literally peeling. Good luck, it's great that your sharing your skin journey! 😘
I got it today in the light shade it was yellow looking & to dark maybe the fair shade or I may try mixing it with this light bb cream I have but I took it off & have on the new wet nwild foundation its amazing
I have oily/acne-prone skin and I really dislike this cc cream. By the time I get home at night the makeup has cracked and faded in so many places. I have used setting powder and setting spray. It does not sit well on your skin after a long day.
they advertise this with their heavenly luxe brush comes with it on qvc,I'm thinking of picking up the travel size to try,w a concealer underneath though
thank you thank you THANK YOU for being brave enough and having the confidence to post videos of acne/scarring coverage. your videos have helped me out figure out to hide my scarring the best and has raised my confidence level a ton. so on behalf of girls with acne and scarring everywhere, thanks a million(:

This makes no sense, my face is hot in the summer, so body heat whtjere it originates from fingers or face will break down the product if the Ulta artist is correct.
even though it didn't cover everything it looks rly pretty on your skin, kind of like you aren't wearing any makeup and just have minor blemishes

Nicole Nash what primer do you use?
This foundation is God sent

BrittanyBabexo Pischinger I’m going to try a brush because got super low coverage result with the beauty blender
I was on the fence about this. I think I will try it!
I'm so excited to see your skin transformation in a couple months. 💜 you're stunning
I have rosacea and find that the best application is to use a buffing brush (I use IT Cosmetics) Stipple it on working in sections, and than leave it be!
Would love hear your thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation in the near future💅🏽
+Pamela Torres That just might be coming up in the near future! ;)
+SariReanna ooh I would love that too!
if you're ever going to use your fingers for a produs: eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation; please please please, do not rub it in. tapping and pressing will allow the product to seep into the pores and allow for the best coverage, and it will not add irritation to your skin.
Belen Bustillos ring finger is the only tool I can use to tap in peach color corrector for my lovely dark circles otherwise it just comes off no matter how I try. As Happy Gilmore said...just tap it in. Great tip!
your hair looks good doesn't even look bad
Apply it with a kabuki brush for fuller coverage for sure! I wanna see a review on the new Tarte rainforest of the sea foundation:)
This is one of my favorites for everyday! But you are right, its not long lasting especially for oily/combo skin! I think your skin looked so radiant and beautiful though even at 5 hrs!
+Miyuki Leu Thank you! I agree that that's when it looked best!
Supergoop CC is amazing it also improves your skin quality so much just within a few days.
This broke me out which made me sad because I loved the coverage and I love this brand :(
It weared off because you didn't set it with a powder right?
This looked awesome on you, it is one of my favorite CC Creams! But I agree, isn't super long wearing especially without setting it. xoMelissa
What do you think is the best way to set it to make it long wearing? My makeup artist plans to use this on me on my wedding day, but for the trial I realized it transferred very easily. Is there a certain setting powder or setting spray that you feel works best with this CC cream?
I just noticed how gorgeous your eyes are! you're seriously so beautiful :)
thank you so much for doing this video! first video I've seen on this CC cream for actual acne prone skin. looks great on you!
i put on cc cream + concealer only..it stays like all day so do with my eyeshadow since i use no else product on my face cuz im not so good with product..it not so thick compared to foundation..i ve pimple skin
MokaTutu thx for the tip as I had the question while watching this if anyone tried this as a base layer before another foundation after primer
I have acne scarring and if you use a brush you definitely get full coverage
I think it looks really great on you :) As they say, it looks like your skin, but better (which is how it's marketed) I use this on the weekends when I don't feel like a big full face of heavy makeup.
girl i know you mentioned you like full coverage, but your skin looks gorgeous and so natural with what you put on in this video! Thank you for such an informative video, you just convinced me to go out and grab this product because i wasn't too sure if it would cover up my acne scars!!
Thank you! I've really fallen in love with the CC cream since this video, I wear it every day now!
Massaging or rubbing just gonna rub off the pigments. I recommend to just do patting motion light handed
You are such a pretty girl....love those green eyes and that smile and I love your natural eyebrows best... take care and hope you're feeling better soon. oxoxoxox
I like this CC cream. I just wish they had more colors to choose from.
I've always used naked foundation but I got introduced to this at Ulta out of the blue and I LOVE IT. I've always used Naked for about 3 years so I was kind of hesitant to change but I love it! And I also love the concealer. Credits to the girl at Ulta for knowing my exact color and what I wanted

very detailed video, thanks for the close ups..and getting straight to the point..very informative..I'm going to love your channel!
Love your videos. How is accutane going so far ? It will be interesting to see what products you like as your skin will likely change to super dry.
Streaky with your fingers bc youre supposed to pat it in at the end when youre done spreading it out
Oh my gosh, as soon as I saw this in my notifications I was so excited, and my initial thought was "please do the lock it tattoo foundation next!" so yes, please please please do it!!! 😻💕 SariReanna
Saw this on the shopping channel last night haha! Glad you did a first impression
Hi- thanks for this review! Yours are always so thorough. Have you ever tried the Boscia BB cream and/or the Dr Jart Premium? If so, how do those compare to the It CC or just in general??
Going to buy a new beauty blender soon. Should I get a black or nude one???
+Briana Jung The only difference is the colour so it's totally your preference!! :)
Briana Jung i'd choose the black one
It also looks good with a powder foundation over top. I use bare minerals over top. Looks great:)
This product applies PERFECTLY with a DRY beauty blender. I know that sounds crazy dry...I know but it look flawless. Try it:) it gives better coverage than a brush or fingers because it doesn't give streaks
+Sarah Hofer Ooh interesting! Thank you for the tip!

I think this looks really good on you, Sari! Now I really want to try this for summer :) what shade are you?
Thanks! :)
I have this foundation in light and it's too dark for my skin which is sad because I really like it :-(
There's a fair one
Jenae Swenson do you think the shade light will be ok for nc25 skin?
I would recommend applying it with a beauty wedges from ulta (sponges), and lightly blend with a beauty blender at the end.
This is one of my Go-To's!! I think it looks amazing on you Sari :)
Ive used this for about a year now and its perfect for summer! great coverage, feels light on the skin and has SPF :)
If you want full coverage or more coverage you use a flat top brush.... Try the CC cream with the illuminator in it. Same bottle, but pink. I also like the CC+ pressed powder too (which also comes illuminating)
Does it look better? I use the non illuminating religiously.
Try it with a brush!! It gives fuller coverage that way , I think :)
Yes/ this foundation applies 1000000% better with a brush

I put mine on with a brush & when I need it to really cover, like ++ coverage, I mix in a half pea size dot of Dermacol.
Okay I can't over how great you look.
I LOVE the coverage of that and the finish... issue I'm having is that my ABH highlight looks cakey with this foundation and it transfurs on my glasses like CRAZY. let me know if anyone has any tips for the highlight because that's what's killing me
yes I have the same problems! if I apply any with my fingers I think it just applies so bad
Oh and also it does last all day.
Which bb/cc cream do you like the most ?
The only ingredients in the RCMA powder are talc and mica so I don't think it'll cause me any issues on my skin! :)
have you tried this as a primer yet? or mixed with another foundation or so with any good (or bad) outcome?
I mix mine with the loreal true match foundation and loved the results. it is more full coverage but still feels light and improved the quality and texture of my skin
Oh okay, I do own both but haven't tried mixing these two. Will definitely give it a go :) Thanks!
+Mikaela N. How has mixing them worked for you? :)
Ells They mixed very well but I've actually preferred mixing it with my Este Lauder Double Wear for a bit more coverage and better staying power :)
You are so beautiful.. Inside AND out!!! Thank you for this review!! It was very helpful!!
This product didn't do anything for me! It broke me out like crazy!
You don't have to justify to us about the way your hair looks! It doesn't even look bad and I didn't even look at it before you mentioned it😁
It's going to weary off if you lie down cause you have a migraine. You didn't really appreciate it. And it DOES cover everything flat.
I've been obsessively checking your channel waiting for this!! ❤️
Try applying with a flat top brush. Marissa Lace here on RUclips always raved about this tuff and she had dark scarring too. Check her foundation videos out!
Your skin looks great in the video!
Aw thank you! You're too sweet! 💕
+SariReanna no problem! Skin issues can be so frustrating, I know. I was oily for years and then one day I woke up and my skin was literally peeling. Good luck, it's great that your sharing your skin journey! 😘
You should try out the Milani 2 in 1 concealer & foundation! :)
Mem, is this good for oily skin?please reply 😊
I got it today in the light shade it was yellow looking & to dark maybe the fair shade or I may try mixing it with this light bb cream I have but I took it off & have on the new wet nwild foundation its amazing
I'm loving you and your personality! You are are so beautiful and refreshing to watch. I'm so glad I stumbled onto your channel!! I'm hooked!! Xo
+rachulte Aw yay I'm so happy you're liking my videos!! Thanks girl! ♡
Thank you so much for these videos! They really are so helpful
I have oily/acne-prone skin and I really dislike this cc cream. By the time I get home at night the makeup has cracked and faded in so many places. I have used setting powder and setting spray. It does not sit well on your skin after a long day.
undertone? looked neutral to me but is that how it is in person? i think I wanna try this as a primer under other foundation
Fair is super neutral
definitely not pink but not golden
+Olivia Dawn yeah I would say neutral, it may lean ever so slightly warm, but I've seen people with cool undertones apply it and it looks fine!
they advertise this with their heavenly luxe brush comes with it on qvc,I'm thinking of picking up the travel size to try,w a concealer underneath though
You should try the NARS velvet matte skin tint! Its been getting amazing reviews and its medium to full coverage pleeeeeease
+crystal sandoval I've only seen kind of meh reviews on it but I'll look in to it more since I've had quite a few requests to try it!
I would love to see a review on the elf acne fighting foundation & the Kat von d lock it foundation (: I've heard there crazy full coverage! Xx
