I am NDA aspirants doubt: While filling my otr form i have just filled my name and my surname but in my 10th certicate my fathers name is also mentioned and i have also used the chance of changing it due to some other issue but i have not changed my name.now its to late Will it creat any issue in documentation? Hi sir, I filled my UPSC form on 1st Feb itself. Now since the application modification window is open, I had a couple of doubts: 1. My Name is under 30 characters (acc to Class X certificate), but in OTR, I had filled Full Name field too - putting it same as Name field, as per Class X certificate. UPSC removed Full Name field from 10th Feb in OTR, and added a new field - Have you changed your name : Yes/No. Since that field was not available when I filled the form, should I update OTR and fill "No" in it? 2. In UPSC Part 1 of Application form, I have filled my Address as my Postal/communication address - which is not my Permanent Address. Also, my Aadhar ID has my Permanent Address. Should I modify form and change address to Permanent one? Please provide your inputs on the above sir. Thanks in advance.
Same name can be written in both NAME and FULL NAME column. There is no problem with it. Also, if you haven't ever changed your name, then there is no need to edit anything. Leave it as it is. You can change it, but there is no issue in this also

Afterwards, go for update profile which allowed only once. Do that and then it's regular form filling procedure. Just maintain the size ratio for photo, sign and document uploading

Respected sir, I created a new OTR ID with a new mobile number and email address because my prior OTR ID contained errors, notably my father's and mother's names (as per the class 10th marksheet). However, I successfully finished my UPSC form this year utilising the NEW OTR ID. What is your opinion on whether UPSC will reject or cancel my form? Or is it okay? I created a new OTR ID (since I couldn't edit the old one).

Leave it as it is UPSC has recently made some changes in the Instruction while filling the Application form. Due to this, its now not sure whether correction window will open or not. However, they have mentioned that if you have committed any error in the application form, then you should fill Fresh Registration before 21-02-2023 (6PM. I created a new OTR ID with a new mobile number and email address because my prior OTR ID contained errors, notably my father's and mother's names (as per the class 10th marksheet). However, I successfully finished my UPSC form this year utilising the NEW OTR ID. What is your opinion on whether UPSC will reject or cancel my form? Or is it okay? I created a new OTR ID (since I couldn't edit the old one).

Sir, After creating new OTR Id what should I do with old otr id, will it cause any problem because upsc states that multiple otr registration may lead to cancellation of application.
Leave it as it is
UPSC has recently made some changes in the Instruction while filling the Application form. Due to this, its now not sure whether correction window will open or not.
However, they have mentioned that if you have committed any error in the application form, then you should fill Fresh Registration before 21-02-2023 (6PM.

During correction window, you can make changes in application form. If you have already edited OTR once, then you will not be able to edit OTR again.

Sir , in otr, do we need to keep "no" to Have you ever changed name question, if we have made changes in name in aadhar card. In my aadhar card there was spelling mistake in my surname. one letter was missing. so, i have updated to correct spelling in aadhar card same as it is in my matriculation certificate. my name is same only spelling correction was made in surname. do i need to edit otr and keep "yes". Ab aapka naya OTR nahi banega. Aapko pehle wale OTR se hi continue karna padega. Aage jaake future me correction ka chance mil sakta hai. Filhaal aap iske regarding ek mail UPSC ko upscsoap@nic.in pe kardo

Sir I have applied for the upsc cse examination for the first time by mistakenly in full name column i entered the wrong name and i have already availed the one time change option on 2.2.23 but again somehow I entered wrong information in full name column now that I was waiting for correction in OTR after closure of form when I try to change in name it shows you have already availed this facility now you can change your name if you ever changed your name ! What should I do now sir ? Is it the full name column is important shall I change my name in otr again ?
Full Name column is not mandatory. It won't have effect now. Moreover, you can't even edit it now. Leave it as it is. It won't create any issue
