Very informative, thanks a lot for this tutorial, it's very helpful. Do you have any tips on how to synchronize music with images? Some of these reels have a musical rhythm which is coordinated with images.

Great question - With content that's coordinated with music, the best way to approach it is to find the song you want to use first and then plan your images around that! Doing it this way will help you know ahead of time what beats to hit on and what kind of images you want in those places
I just watched this and it was a life saver. I can totally watch it again...I have 1 question....I always record my videos on my phone. If I do reels on Instagram, should I record on Instagram & edit? Please 🙏🙏🙏 helps....Thank you
Either or should be fine! But if you record on your phone, make sure your camera settings are at 4k at 30 fps so that Instagram doesn't compress the video when you upload it.

If you record a video with the Story camera, you can click the stickers icon and click captions and it will transcribe the audio for you. You would then save that video to your camera roll, and upload it to Reels. Otherwise, there are tons of free apps out there that transcribe audio for you if you wanted to save your Reel as a whole and upload the whole video to one of those apps to get the captions on screen.
Great tutorial. Is there a way to add the background effects when a pre-recorded video is uploaded?
You can't do it within Reels, but seeing as how there are plenty of apps that let you add stickers and add-ons like that to videos, there might be something out there that will let you specifically add background effects. These are worth experimenting with if you can find an app that does this, but do keep in mind that they could possibly alter your video quality in the process.

most necessary for you. In order to start a business account, you will need to go to your settings, find Account and click "Switch to Professional Account." Pick a category that you think best describes your business, then choose Business. We hope this helps!

1. With my edits already done, can I just import from saved videos to reels?

Hello! Yes, you can import your saved videos to Reels and they will not disappear. Also, we'd recommend posting all your Reels to your main feed.
How does frequency of posting on reels impact your reach/engagement? For instance, posting to your feed multiple times a day supposedly reduces your reach, but if you post on reels multiple times a day, but remove it from your grid is that a good way to build momentum with out negatively impacting your opportunities for gaining new followers?
So posting multiple times a day isn't as bad as most people think! While your reach on individual Reels may drop a little, your overall reach across all of your posts goes up the more you post. This is because each Reel will only appear to a small percentage of your followers, and posting multiple times gives you a better chance of showing up in more of your followers' feeds. It also seems like posting Reels to your profile helps with engagement, rather than hinders it. If you're still unsure of whether or not this will work for your account, then we suggest experimenting with how you post Reels and seeing which method your followers engage with the most. Hope this helps!
There's no doubt this is the best tutorial on Reels thus far. However, I'm still confused about a lot of things you shared information on with us. I'm unable to add my photos to create a birthday reel.
You can add images the same way that you add additional video clips to the reel. Refer to timestamp 19:10 in the video to see how to add images/video clips!

Yes, there are limits to what material you can use!
I do have a quick question: My timer only showed a max of 30 sec, not 60 sec. Is there any reason why?
We've seen many others have the same issue, and we think this could be from having an out-of-date app or from a glitch within the app. If you don't have any luck updating your app, we suggest reaching out to Instagram support to see if they can fix this for you.

Either works! Generally, I prefer to post things separately and post different content each day on each platform. If someone follows me on both, I don't want them to think "I already saw this on the other platform" and skip past it.

@@XanderShiller Yeah we'll cover how to do that! It seems like you're talking about cutting back and forth between a-roll and b-roll. A-roll would be the main shot, the voiceover, and then the b-roll would be considered the supporting visuals.

A lot of audio, especially music, is copyrighted. Songs from TV shows or from popular musicians are likely to get blocked.
What's allowed on Reels music and audio-wise is constantly changing!

Man, I have to try and get out of the mindset that reels are so cringy and hacky. Even if they are, can’t deny the popularity of them.
