ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING ISN'T IT. Youngest guy is Robert Trujillo at 59, James and Lars are 60, and THE ALMIGHTY RIPPER, KIRK MUTHA FK'N HAMMETT is 61 and can still just SHRED on a guitar. These guys have been in my life since I was in grade 9 in 1983, still listen to them on a daily and it just never gets old, just like them.
I respect them if they still play 90+ like Chuck Berry. If Hetfield downpicks Master of Puppets album speed live at 80 years Im not sure if he is human. Lets wait and see.
Load is my favorite Metallica album. I’ve been listening to it for 28 years, but I never get tired of it, I always hear something new for myself. Metallica is really cool.
While I wouldn't call it my #1 album I absolutely agree: Load is an absolutely brilliant album. Still remember buying the CD on the day it was published. Unbelievable that's 28 years ago 🫣

I sent my fiance, my brother and father in law to see this weekend of shows all the way from England they thoroughly enjoyed it 🥰 he sent me videos and it sent chills down my spine 🥰 I was so jelous 😂❤
So, I flew to Helsinki to see Metallica for the 14th time from Ireland. Im 30, I feel very lucky to have see the boys so many times and they were once again incredible. Helsinki is a BEAUTIFUL city, the weather was gorgeous and the people were friendly. The sound at the Olympiastadium was absolutely fantastic but my god the finish people as an audience were SO boring. Im sorry to say. For comparison I was at Amsterdam shows last year and they blew Helsinki away. The Mad Cool show in Madrid 2022 was THEE best show ive seen so far, it was almost hard to hear the band over how loud the audience was. In Helsinki, I felt like I was disturbing people by singing. I can't say id be in a rush to see a band there again.
And I'm content if I can hear and see the band properly - that's why I go to concerts. But I'm an already 63 years old Finnish lady... 😜 There were a lot of middle-aged fans in the audience, and we just don't have the strenght to do much moren than just sit and listen.For example, I have osteoarthritis and it was difficult to even climb the steep stairs to my place. Still did it because I love Metallica! I clapped my hands and moved to the music, however, more than the fitter neighbors there. 😅 We all still enjoyed a lot! We're the happiest nation of the world, didn't you know... 😁 Of course it would be nicer to the band, if their fans showed their love more clearly. 😍 But unfortunately we've been taught to hide bigger emotions in public. The younger generations are beginning to be more free, but still there's some shyness and inhibitions - without alcohol. 😢 We can't help our generations long culture of "silence is golden". However, we are friendly and well meaning people, it just takes time to come out of the shell. Welcome to Finland again!

It didn't put a dampener on anything I was mainly just comparing to other Metallica shows I was at. I don't need to be in most pits the whole show either lol, maybe when I was a little younger. I do enjoy it now and then though! All in all Helsinki was one of my favourite places I've visited in the world (possibly the most expensive outside of the US too) and I want to come back in the winter and experience the weather then too! Met some great people from all over the world there and Finnish locals that I still keep in touch with 😊

But of course it's not that cold all the time - and it's also a matter of clothing how you survive outside. In January and February the snowy views are very beautiful. The northern part, Lapland, can surely be a good experience. You have to prepare yourself well for it. 👍Maybe you could even see Santa... By the way, did you see the video where Apocalyptica's Eicca Toppinen gave Finnish skis to James in Helsinki? People may look pretty gloomy in winter as a lot of us are waiting for the next summer... And many of us don't actually agree with the tittle "the happiest country", the ranking isn't based on mental wellbeing - but it is true that we have many advantages that not everyone has.

Really impressed by how deep and varied the sets are nowadays. Even when a few songs are on regular rotation, they have the flexibility to throw in gems like this and it makes them so fun to watch. Forever my favourite band 🤘
I was at this gig, my first time ever seeing the boys live. Was amazing. Great setlist too. They played Blackened and Battery on that same day too. Closed Night 1 with Puppets. Left the Olympic Stadium with my mind blown.
I saw them in Vegas in 2009. I blacked out by the third song. I was so fuckin drunk and high out of mind on OxyContin. I get to see them while sober in august and I can’t wait. They have helped me through the worst times of my life and they will always be the greatest.

Several of their songs are like that. You really notice it if you play guitar. Through the never and MoP are very similar as well.
