Will it ever stop raining??!! Thanks for watching and if you'd like to join the channel and get the chance to spend some time on the bank with us please go to www.patreon.com/catchfishingchannel for more info...tight lines!
I’m at an age now that fishing in the wind and rain in January is a fond memory! You make it look easy and enjoyable. Your videos are always interesting and instructional. Thanks.
I'm really enjoying these videos Jamie, I came across your channel by searching feeder fishing tips, I haven't been fishing properly for 5 years now, I used to go every other Sunday with my dad but because of adult life I was unable to continue to do that. I've decided to get back into fishing and I thought I'd give feeder fishing a try, I've only ever fished on the waggler but I want another method on fishing. Your videos have helped alot, I can't wait to get on the bank again but this time with a feeder rather than the waggler. Keep up the good content! Stay safe!
@@CatchFishingChannel Was in similar position as you were. We are down south and had same issue as you had. Cold day, Rain and fishing hard. changed to 15" hook length and started catching. Cant wait for next Video. Cheers
I watch all your videos and they are spot on, especially the Loxley fishery ones, went today with the method and pellet waggler had plenty of f1's and 2 lumps out. Not bad after a few years out! Thanks bud 👍🏻🎣
Got out on Sunday for first time since boxing day, everything has been frozen solid, maggots are from 13th December and still in reasonable condition. Tried feeder for 2.5hrs for two small roach, switched to pole and had a good 2hrs trying to drown a float catching 1-3oz roach with half a dozen 6oz skimmers. Just nice to get out and get a few bites.
Hi Jamie, what a great session in horrible conditions. No commercials in my area, the only one is 30 mins away and is in its close season, the rivers are in the fields and the next commercial is 30 miles away so fishing is not possible. I bet where you caught that grayling is unfishable as well! I do see some uses for that cloud 9 crumb if the weather abates so we can fish for winter roach. Stay safe, kindest regards Bill
Thanks Bill mate! Dad watched a couple of your videos the other day nice work mate ;) Yes the whole river is unfishable unfortunately but hopefully it won't be long until it's the right condition again. Please stay safe mate take care :)
Brilliant that mate you deserved those fish for toughing it out. Lovely change of tactics and proof that little changes make a difference. Might make a trip to springvale tomorrow , that's proper wetted my appetite. Cheers J.
Many is the time I watch my favourite anglers plying their trade, and wish I could be with them. No this time mate. Too cold, too wet, and too windy for me. But w wouldn't say no to your stake and chips though... Fishing in the cold is doable, but not wet and windy as well. Thanks for suffering those conditions for our entertainment. Not sure if you're brave or silly!. But I for one am thankful. Cheers Jamie. You take extra care out there mate. There are now 8 people close to my heart with the virus. Spread over 1 mile radius. Be careful my friend.
amazing really when you think of the change in tactics to start catching, how come you didn't keep the inline feeder on and just change the hook length Jamie
Good content as ever👍🏻Went last sunday had a dozen roach on the pole. All the tackle shops are shut around here so just ordered my bait online for this weekend going to spinkhill theres some nice roach to be had if you get it right.
Hi,would you do a review on the new box your sat on,pros and cons of the h frame and why you choose to use that particular seatbox over the other super box.many thanks.keith
Good session Jamie, do you think the Ide were sat off bottom and with the extra length of hooklength they could see the bait fall easier and intercept it on the drop almost?
What reel was that Jamie ? Great video. I've got all the cold weather gear, moon boots, padded bib n brace etc etc but the cold soon gets through to old bines Ha Ha.
@@davetaylor8858 Haha oh Dave it's a necessity for good winter clothing if you're out fishing all year round isn't it! It was the Horizon X 3000 mate, this one www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/horizon-x-reels?c=reels
Great video 👍🏻 blanked twice since Xmas definitely trying that conventional maggot feeder rig the weekend , what lb mainline do you usually use for that style of rig Jamie?

Bad weather, Good fishing, Who would have thought such a small change would turn the peg around. Shows you that tweaking is always worth it. Nice one.

Nice one Mike glad to hear you got out! Was that on a natural venue mate?
Unfortunately not Jamie, fished one of our club waters, a specimen water which can throwing up good skimmer/bream catches if you get things right.
@@mikepattinson3285 Glad you managed to get out though mate stops us getting stir-crazy doesn't it!
Brilliant! At least someone’s getting out on the bank 👍🏻🎣🎣

Amazing what little changes can make to a session.
then the adrenaline rushes through your veins. And then you don't feel the cold with these numbers of fish. Have enjoyed again. Thank you Jamie.

What is the Landing Net Handle.?
Si.
Nice one Jamie noticed in the test bait tub you have some floaters would that be the case in your swim?
Great video Jamie. And I was going to buy some inline maggot feeders! I don't think I'll bother. Stick to the conventional 👍🏻

Jamie where are the lads getting their maggots from at a time like this?
from Tackle shops...lol all my local ones are open
To be honest mate I haven't spoken to or seen any of the lads but I think it's local tackle shops doing click and collect services mate

Oh NO Carl at least you managed to get out fishing though mate ;) I just use 6lb Horizon for this sort of fishing mate
@@CatchFishingChannel thanks Jamie been out today & had 3 carp & 1 roach out 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Jamie, did you enlarge the holes in this basket?
No mate, the maggots were emptying from the feeder quick enough so I left them as they were mate 👍
They just keep getting better mate.. I’ve sent you a message on messenger btw
Don't forget the deeper the water the quicker the feeder will empty with pressure is that true some body told me that ?
