I bet a set of LaBella flats would tame some of that high end fizzle

When I played in music store, Aria bass sounded unplugged better than most other acoustic basses, actually Aria sounded somehow, most other basses had nearly no live sound. Very nice sounded also Furch acoustic bass. (I don know if they are exporting to US). I need only home practice instrument, Furch are usually quite good quality, but bit more expensive, so I took Aria. I use it home and sometimes for small gigs and it plays nice. I'm using flat wounds strings, original bronze roundwounds has better hi treble but they are making marks on fretboard. Bass has very constant and strong live sound comparing to amplified sound, so I sometimes during practice don't recognize that I'm unplugged. I can recommend this bass to try in your store. Thank you for video.

Aria is a good brand. Personally, I play a ibanez acoustic bass, AEGB-30, 2023 model. Check it out.

If only they did a fretted version

I already posted it on the Aria channel, byt this is such beautiful instrument and I actually like a lot how it sounds. And your playing is great, too! I also find the best way to just cut the treble and presence on my acoustic bass to get really more like a bassy tone and I think it might be the issue with all acoustic basses? But I was really suprised that this one sounded good also with presence all th way up. As you say, changing the strings to tapewounds or flatwounds will make a difference. But for me, personally, even changing the strings to regular steel electric roundwounds made a huge difference in sound. I just don't like the sound of brozne strings on an acoustic bass that much. The instrument then sounds like an acoustic guitar tuned an octave down and with all the annoying treble it just doesn't sound good to me. Anyway, great video, thanks for that!

I just got this bass today. I played Bohemian Rhapsody and Nothing Else Matters aa soon as I got it home. The feel and sound was awesome.

played one of these at a music store a while ago, such a beautiful sound and overall feel, might have to go back and buy it now

I need another bass like hole in the head. Was shopping for a good acoustic, fretless for church worship. This one looks like the most bang for the buck. Looked at a Tony Franklin fretless for $2300. Others for $3000+. Gonna get this one.

  • @curtisbentzen3176

Maybe try some tapewounds...it'll warm it up....nice job

  • @poochiecheeks627

GHS bronze pressurewounds would sound great on that man

  • @sunman108

Have you tried 34’ version? Which would you prefer?

  • @derrickremington8273

Get rid of the round wound strings and get some taped flat wounds on that base
