No. You only buy the R.I.P tour tickets for HHN Hollywood. Orlando’s HHN you have to buy both general admission and R.I.P. tour tickets. That is where the confusion maybe. It is different on each coast theme park.
Thank you ! You can use the express/R.I.P. line. This year when we went they were combined. You can check in before going into the park at the V.I.P. lounge at the front of the park. Having the last tour we would highly recommend going through the houses you do not want to miss. You may go through them twice because of the tour. We hope you having a screaming good time at HHN !

We absolutely recommend the R.I.P. tour. It is a fun experience and you get to go to all the houses and have dinner. It would be hard to get all the houses done without at least an express pass or R.I.P. tour. The R.I.P. tour guide gives you the stories about each house and some background before you go in. Then you have the exclusive experiences and photo opps. We hope you have a spooktacular evening !
Thanks so much for sharing! I was wondering though, i saw you mention your tour guide bypassed some of the exoress lanes for the houses with longer waits. Did they bypass the express line for all of the houses or just some of them? What was the longest you waited while with your tour guide?
This year the R.I.P. tour and express pass shared the same lane. During backups he had the express pass people move to the side and we went ahead. The longest wait was about 15 minutes for The Last of Us. It was about 10 minutes for Stranger Things 4. These were both on the R.I.P. tour with our guide. You can go over to the R.I.P tour check in before your tour. They will give you your lanyards to get into the park. You can go into the houses and rides. This year the tour is jammed packed and we didn’t have time to do rides during the tour or after. We wanted to go through some of the houses a second time. We hope you have a screaming good time. I was wondering - when you went back to do the other houses, (after the tour ended) were you able to go through the R.I.P. line or did they make you go in through the normal express line? Ive heard rumors that say they make you go through the express line instead of the RIP tour line (when repeating mazes) and I was a bit worried. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!
We are so happy you enjoyed the video. In past years the R.I.P. tour had it’s own line. Now they have combined it with the express pass. When we went to The Last of Us the line was really long. The R.I.P tour guide had all the express pass guest go to one side and we bypassed them. It was not a good change. We went back to the 4 houses to repeat after our tour. We went through the express line/R.I.P. tour line and it wasn’t bad except The Last of Us and Stranger Things 4. Had our R.I.P. tour group not missed the Terror Tram mini house that was exclusive to the R.I.P your this year and had to go back on it again we may have been able to do at least 2 more houses again if not all of them. It would be hard to get all the rides in with houses and shows during HHN. I would definitely show up at 5 PM to get your laynards to get in. Super Nintendo World is not open during HHN except to those who had the 2 PM early entry, and then it was open from 7 PM-10 PM. The 2 PM entry tickets are not apart of the R.I.P. tour. We did not do any rides during R.I.P. tour this year. You may be able to do rides before the tour, and then try to get any mazes you missed afterwards, but it all depends what time the park closes. The 1 AM closure would be hard to finish off all the mazes if you didn’t during your tour. Some years we finished all houses during the tour and a few years we have not. It depends on the flow. Our tour guide stayed overtime to get us through this year, but that was his decision and he got approval. Not all tour guides would be willing to do that, or able to. It was because our tour had not had access to the extra R.I.P. tour terror tram experience, and he made it so we could go back. We hope this helps. Have a screaming good time on your R.I.P. tour.

You could ask them when you have to be upstairs by for your tour time. Then reenter on the park side of that R.I.P. lounge door which is right next to guest services. This year was different because our tour exclusive on the terror team wasn’t ready and our guide got permission for overtime to take us back down to that area of the terror tram a second time. nice review, I am doing the RIP Sept. 22, this will be my third year doing RIP. nice to see some of the changes. You didn't get RIP (VIP) seats for the Blumhouse show thing, looks like you were far back? The RIP is really expensive but I think it is worth it to get into everything, the food is usually just eh. I wish they actually had some of the theme food options available.
Thank you ! The R.I.P. tour is really worth it. The food could be better. The Blumhouse: Behind the Screams is in the Dreamworks theatre. I don’t think they thought about the R.I.P tour for that show. We were in the very back. It was cool and it seemed we could see all the M3GAN dancers well. If you were too close you may loose some of that whole effect. We hope you have a screaming good time this year !
Quick question, for your photo op with The Black Phone villain, did he say anything to you specifically or are scareactors not allowed to say anything outside of their scripted lines? I've been curious about what scareactors are allowed to do in terms of improv and stuff. Thank you!
They have a R.I.P. tour wall infront of the Moulin Rouge (R.I.P. lounge for dinner) This year the photo opp is after the Nope set for Terror Tram. It is after dinner. They listen to responses last year and people want dinner first. The earlier tours last year went to the terror tram and some houses before dark. It is worth it. So I have a question are RIP tour starts at 6:40. We’re going on a Friday, so I think the park and until two. My question is, do you think we’ll have enough time at the end of the tour to have free time to do what we want?
You can go check in to R.I.P. Tour around 5 PM. They may have you wait until the first tours check in. You can get your R.I.P. tour lanyards and go in first and go on rides or houses. Your tour will include an hour of time for dinner, so we wouldn’t recommend doing that during that early time. You should have time to go back and do some houses at the end of the night. The tours are about 5 hours. Depending on the night and things that happen once in awhile you may not get to all the houses during the tour. Most likely those would the the upper lot houses Evil Dead Ride or Monsterous. This year they have two shows Blumhouse:Behind the Screams and The Purge:Dangerous Waters it threw off our times a bit. Our tour went over and our guide made sure we got everything. We had a 5:20 tour and did the Terror Tram twice because one of the R.I.P. tour special mini house was down when we originally went. Did you guys go on any of the rides? Mario Kart, Mummy, Jurassic Park, Transformers, Potter land? Been doing the RIP tour for 10 years + -, and we usually break away from the group at about 10 to take advantage of the front of line for these.
This year we did not go on any rides. There was 2 shows this year. The Purge:Dangerous Waters and a mini show Blumhouse:Behind the screams. Our tour was opening night. The first time we went on the Terror Tram one of the special side experience (a R.I.P. tour only mini house) was not open yet. Our guide at the end of the tour got us on another tram and go through again. They got us a special van to get back to the lower lot quicker. Mario Cart is not open to most guess at HHN. This year it was open from 7-10 PM for people who had 2 PM day/night combo ticket only. R.I.P tour does not have access to Super Nintendo World. We hope your have a scary fun evening !
Yes, The R. I.P. tour has unlimited express pass all night. You may think your taking a dip, but it is hard to go back to anything else after R.I.P. tour. It spoils you. The extra photo oops, exclusive mini house, helpful guide, and dinner make it over the top.
There are some vegetables, fruit, salads, pasta, and pizza. Those are the items we can remember. We would recommend calling the VIP tour line during the day and asking. They may be able to make accommodations for you. We are not sure what the sauces are made with to make sure they are vegan and not meat sauce. We hope this helps.
Last year they had 3 lanes regular line, R.I.P. tour line, and express pass line at least at the beginning of HHN season. Our guide told us it was a change this year to combine R.I.P. tour and express pass lane.

Would you recommend early entry with rip? I have an 8pm tour this year i want to go on all mazes and rides hopefully i can make it through them
