I bought this model and has been a truly great sounding with my Denafrips Pontus II 12th anniversary DAC. Every positive audio attribute you have mentioned is one I have experienced. I hope that HiFi Rose will be there for customer support the way Bluesound has been for me in the past. should I ever need it. The display is probably the best bling it has going for it and RoseTube is nice too. I find I like to use Roon Nucleus with it more so than the built in user app or phone app.
I like that thank you “sounds as good as it looks” I also agree with you on your comment about the app. The good news is I have hope that they’ll keep improving it. Thanks again for the nice comments.
Mr Adrian, did you compare the SQ of the USb out to the I2s out to your PS Audio Dac? Is there a difference? And does the I2s out process the full DSD 256/512? as I'd like to use it with my PS Audio DSD Dac Mk1. Great review, thanks
@@adrianalexander2651 Not a question. The Rose RS 130 IS worth the money. When folks don’t have a resolving synergistic system, they can’t hear differences.
@@Pete.across.the.streetLOL ..but why . The streamer section on the Wiim is pretty decent ..but I output mine to an external DAC…and it’s pretty decent.

I have heard nothing but great things about the Aurender - I heard their software is great. I know that some of their new units are going to be Roon certified I have not heard one, but I plan on listening to one
Have you discover the serious bugs yet? If you have 50k plus tracks and you want to add more the rescanning never ends and there's no DSD gapless playback.
WiiM should make a product with that quality and screen size. No DAC. And all ouputs. Sell it for 800 And be done with it. All competition will be crushed for yrs to come. Like the other guy said I’ll spend $1000 on speaker cables before a streamer.
I don't feel the need for a touch screen ,, why have to get out of your comfy chair . Just use your phone or tablet that's sat with you , great review by the way
Yes. And why can't you just have an option to integrate all the visuals with your flat screen tv on a wall using your phone app as the selector? It's time to get everything working together seamlessly. A screen this small on the streamer is useless.
Absolutely no information about the internal electronics, power supply clocks, et cetera - you dont appear to know anything about the customer base for this type of product? Absolute Clowns.

I bought a stream for $120. Anything more than that is a waste of money. The Wiim Obviously. You may get better sound, but that Rose is not $6000 CAD better sound. I can guarantee it. Id rather buy $1000 speaker wire, I still think that is over priced. To each his own.

Fool yourself as much as you want. If you want the best out of your system you don't cheap out on any component. Upgrading is not linear with the price, but its worth it if you have the means.

Nice review. I love my Hifi Rose RS250
Thank you for the kind words. The 250 is very nice.
I love mine. It sounds incredible and looks just as good as it sounds. The app could be better, but they’re working on an app with AI improvements.

Found the I2s data on the Rose overview video, yes the I2s transmits 32bit 768kHs 👍
Great question I prefer the I2S over USB if the DAC has that option
Great question I prefer the I2S over USB if the DAC has that option - both will play Hi-Rez files USB and I2S

Curious to know how it compares to the new Auralic ARIES S1 with the external power supply.
That’s a great question. I wish I knew maybe I’ll review that product and do a comparison.

Also Adrian: how do you send DSD to your DAC. I have read it is impossible via USB. Is it possible with i2s?
