  • Thanks to Rich from @owlsnestoutdoors for taking @brettdowdican8019 from FISH The MITT and I out onto legendary Lake St Clair to get on the smallmouth bass bite! What we didn't expect was the weather change and the catches we ended up getting! We caught a little bit of everything. Smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and even walleye.

Thanks! This week things changed as the water temps rose and the swimbait bite was back on. Got some great underwater shots with that CanFish Fishing Cam X! Thanks for watching!

looked like you guys caught tons of them! Walleye are pretty fun to catch in my opinion anyway, so as long as they don't break you off, I call them a decent sidecatch. Plus they do taste Great!

This is interesting. I caught my first ever LSC walleye a couple weeks ago fishing for smallies. Also on a tube haha

I fished Lake St. Clair Metro park this morning for the first time on the bank, and I could not find any smallies. I caught 1 rock bass and 10 largemouth within a 3 hour timespan and then the bite shut off and sent me home. The weather wasn’t like it was predicted but I was prepared.

They just never seem to get the weather right, even with all that tech behind it.🤷🏻‍♂️
Good job on the catches though, sorry you didn’t get on the smallmouth. Did you hit the entire pointe?

@@live2fishofficial Thanks! I only fished the marsh and the daysail. I didn't know how to get to the point of the peninsula, otherwise I would have went there in the morning. It was confusing with a lot of parking space here and there.

@@Unspokelook for the pavilion to the north of the park and the boat dock court there. You can park at that farthest lot, or the one by the beach, but I prefer to start at the north end. It’s quite a hike but well worth it because you can access the canal to the north or the main lake to the south/east of the pointe.
