Dear Tracy,
About a year-and-a-half ago, I unexpectedly lost my brother. My brother was a writer and a great story teller.
As the boat, on which the funeral was kept, sailed away, this song played through the speakers. Telling, in my own interpretation of the lyrics, the story of my brother.
Despite our tears, my mother and me danced and reminisced about my brother to your music. Leaving a little happy memory on the saddest day of my life.

Somehow this song got me out of a small depression. Someone told lies about me and the line ‘sometimes a lie is the best thing’ got me out. The lie opened my eyes to see i was in a bad environnement. Thank you miss Chapman.

Her smile is magic. If she smiled at me, I'd probably start grinning from ear to ear without knowing why. I'd just have to smile. Another thing I just realized though is that she is not usually wearing makeup, if ever. She's just a real person.

I feel guilty for not realising what a great artist, and songwriter, and appreciation Tracy Chapman is,and continues to be in 2020, i think she speaks to many people, and continue to do so, and be made aware that she was discovered by accident, (was she really a filler during live aid???,) it cannot be.
