@@ThyWeepingWillow I tried Permafrost on it cos, you know, you HAVE to try it at least once on anything that is new and super shiny. One wing flap and an entire screen of glaring white later, I immediately dumped my griffon back on the ground to avoid further flapping-induced AHHH!!'s and swapped the dyes to something else xD
I love it a lot aswell! Ive always been a fan of the feathered griffons, and was hoping we would get a featherwinged griffon with effects. Im absolutely happy we got one now :D such a cool face aswell imo!
Advice for potential owners: The trail effect is VERY overwhelming with many dye combinations. So much so that it makes it annoying trying to fly around. Thankfully there are quite a few dyes that appear to have reduced trail visuals. Usually darker colours "hide" particle effects but with the Phoenix there are even a lot of lighter dyes that reduce the effect as well. For example I have found that lapis blue dye removes a lot of the excess trail effects and looks quite beautiful contrasted with golden or brass dye for the feathers.
grand lion is great aswell! personally i am into griffons with beaks ( just personal preference tho) but the lion is really gorgeous. the wings are pretty imo! :D
Picked mine up as soon as I saw it! Only complaint is that it's VERY hard to make the residual flames not look pink when dying it purple. I found a pretty good combo though!
@@arcanerune9134 And I just found out that the griffon needs players to help you take out champions. Player's who no longer play this expansion. I am a solo player guess I'll never get this damn mount. Why the FUCK does this and have to be so legendarily obtuse for new players and solo players. Man I miss ESO so so much. Before ESO went to shit it was so fucking awesome compared to any other MMO. Really respected the players time. I doubt I'm even going to be finish GW2 now that I know this.
@@Aptonoth dude calm down. I just unlocked the griffon an hour ago, I downloaded this game 2 weeks ago. You 10 days of playing the story and path of fire + 4 days for griffon. It's incredibly easy to unlock if you know what you're doing. Just collect a few eggs, collect 10 books, kill 1 boss at the end and you're done. I'm only mastery 40.
@@Aptonoth lmao, what. Every map is still current, and people are definitely still unlocking griffon lol. I started the game after you made this comment and I've had griffon for 2 months now
@@Aptonoth group up with people doing bounty trains, and also advertise LFG for the events that give your runes. I was able to finish in a few days. There a lot of people still working on the griffon and also people that will just come help you out. Don’t get discouraged.
i was sad as i saw its just a 1600 diamond rare skin and not a deluxe skin, im waiting for a realy good deluxe skin, but that looks like the vermillion fire set and has realy good effects

IMO probably the best griffon skin in the game, very detailed, pretty effects, good dye channels.

Got this mount after watching this video absolutely my favorite Griffin skin in thr game. Dyed mine up as a ghostly raven.
I don't even have a jackal yet but this content is very satisfying 😯

Love this skin! mine is shadow blue on the top left with alemoot on the bottom right and a midnight blue on top right :).
Finally a perfect griffon style mount for a charr and I'm just a week away from unlocking it as a new player.
There is a learning curve to flying these guys don't get discouraged. With practice griffon is easily the best and most fun mount in the game.

I want it sooo much, I have all the other Vermilion items! But it's so many gems and I just spent that amount on the jade tech raptor 😭

Not much into fire effects so being able to dye that part completely is really nice.
The fire effect is very strong yeah! The effect is still visible with shadow abyss but not so obnoxious anymore which is nice ^-^
