AGENT, this gotta be a lawsuit. im not a lawyer but i feel like there's a potential bag in this. and if it's a big issue maybe you can sue on the state level idk about laws but this feels like an opportunity for change
Former paralegal here. Not legal advice, but it's hard to say if there can be a lawsuit for this issue due to administration issues. Maybe a backpay for lost wages, but for emotional damages, probably not.
I'm not familiar with American or Georgian law, I'm Canadian; but I just have a feeling that this wouldn't go far for a lawsuit, considering that for what we know there wasn't any physical or verbal abuse.
It's definately bull*** though! I've had my Charter rights violated before and it's a headache to battle

The same thing happened to me too! I went to court for a different reason on a day they said I didn't but there was proof of me on the documents and in the court house. And they suspended my license for it too, I've been without a license for over 6 months now waiting to go back to court and get it thrown out!

My sister got arrested in dekalb/Stone Mountain area for “failing to appear in court” even tho she paid the ticket online when she initially got the citation
She sat in jail for almost a week and a half, we paid the bail but because she got pulled over in a different county they wouldn’t release her, and she’s never been arrested! The president of the naacp had to threaten them with media coverage to get her released
