  • Abraham Morgentaler, MD, explains new concepts that could subvert the long-held belief that high levels of testosterone exacerbate prostate cancer growth. He discusses the androgen saturation model, as well as the benefits of testosterone therapy for prostate cancer patients’ quality of life.

This couldn't have come at a better time! I'm 77, married 2 years ago, discovered I had a 9 Gleason Score, 18 PSA, receiving 28 ERBT's and want quality, not quantity of life Eligard has totally removed my libido and sexuality. I want it back. Every Oncologist should see this video. I will present it to my Oncologist. Thank you.

That Testosterone is a protective hormone is excepted practice in Japan, but not in North America. I was fortunate enough to meet a Japanese oncologist on a holiday. He provided me with links to studies that clearly showed that Estrogen and Estradiol combined with LOW Testosterone cause prostate cancer. It took months to get my old life back. After 4 years of misery caused by Huggins nonsensical study it feels great to be back. Be well, all the best!

@@Redrios Attention Dr. Scholtz and Moyad. Here is something virtually every expert fails to mention. If Lupron or Firmagon is essential and you want a fulfillinng sex life for yourself and/or your partner, get a penile implant. They are fantastic and regardless of the degree of your cancer they can successfully be implanted. Medicare covers 99% of the cost and many other insurance companies also will. All I hear is your ability to have an erection most likely will be diminished and non-reversable atrophy will result. Bullshit. Get an implant, no injections, no penis pump, and no pills that probably won't work. This proven option should be mentioned EVERYTIME a discussion about sex and the penis is discussed. Testosterone does not guarantee you will have erections or libido improvements. GET AN IMPLANT!!!! Your welcome.

Where is there a Dr. Abraham Morgenthaler in my area? I tried to discuss testosterone with my Oncologist. He became somewhat irate, told me I would have a miserable existence when the cancer invaded my body and walked out of the room. I am changing Oncologists. Hopefully I can find one who has an open mind.

At the CROSS CANCER INSTITUTE, I was Coerced, deceived, extorted and intimidated into getting one six-month shot of Eligard against my will without being informed about all the horrific quality of life destroying and life shortening side effects, and certainly never warned that ADT CASTRATION would leave me hypogonadal for years or perhaps permanently.
    No doctor will prescribe TRT.
Here in Canada, its easier to get an injection of MAID , medical assistance in dying, to end my life, than to get a prescription for testosterone to regain some semblance of quality of life.
I refuse to let the medical CARTEL continue to treat me like a concentration camp inmate.
    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Thank you for the courage to challenge the 1940's Huggins medical malpractice.

stage 4 a, PSA 71, G8 at age 49, based on my learning...low T, high estrodiol is the "perfect" environment for PCa, hence stage 4a at age 49. I did one of two years ADT, horrible and I was suicidal and I'm looking into bio-identical HRT to my PCa....just trying to find the "team" that will help me do it.

Just a quick note. The Japanese have proven numerous times that Estrogen and Estradiol are the causes of prostate cancer, while Testosterone is a protective hormone. If you cannot find a doctor willing to give you Testosterone hop on the plane and go to either Japan, Vietnam or Thailand. I did. It worked.

If testosterone is the blame for prostate cancer then why aren't teenagers suffering of prostate cancer? They have super high levels of testosterone while men over 50 years old have the lowest levels of testosterone and the ones suffering of prostate cancer, where is the logic or scientific explanation?? The androgen deprivation doesn't make any sense 🤔🤔

If the testosterone is not linked with prostate cancer activity, why ADT decrease the PSA?

    • @shelleyhale563
      @shelleyhale563 4 месяца назад +1

Because it puts the prostate to sleep so it can't produce PSA.

    • @robwells230

Because your body needs Testosterone in order to make PSA.

Went to Dr Morgantaler and one of his colleagues years ago, I was very skeptical of being treated on TRT. I had a healthy prostate with a 1.6 PSA in 2016. Agreed to be treated, trusting the medical advice. Now, 7 years later after being treated on TRT, I now have a prostate at 96 cc, which is five times the normal size. I’m a vegetarian, never smoked, don’t drink, normal weight, with no prostate cancer in my family. Not a doubt in my mind TRT caused this.

your prostate size may be three times normal, but certainly not five times normal.
...didn't you do any monitoring during those seven years???
And what proof do you have that the TRT caused your cancer???
Perhaps you are just looking for something or someone to blame for your tragic situation...

Kind of embarrassing question but you seem to be very educated in the male reproductive science from what I understand so my question is after 7 years of daily drinking of alcohol in high amounts meaning for me 10 to 20 beers a day with actually that number being mixed with half that amount of hard liquor shots and the other half 12oz beers. My ability to get an erection was gone accept maybe partial erect to some degree once in awhile! So my Dr. Put me on testosterone injections once a week at 100Ml a week in the buttocks in hopes to raise my T and fix my sex life also. My normal level of testosterone without injections was around 160 with testosterone it was 350. Now I've quit drinking alcohol finally and it's been 5 weeks as of today I'm sober! I had a blood test last week to check my testosterone and it was a 621. So I'm assuming my body is getting back to normal levels but also that 621 was with a 200mg injection of test a week beforehand. My question is why have I not been able to achieve and erection like I once use too before I started drinking daily considering now I'm sober and my test levels are back to normal? Thank you
