I am currently building the AMK f-14 and was a bit disappointed in the fit of some parts, the seats were particularly bad,but it certainly has some excellent details on the "dirty" wing features, particularly the inclusion of the spoilers which the hobbyboss kit doesn't have, but looking at your builds,I have to say that the Hasegawa kit looks to be quite exceptional, obviously the fit issues haven't interfered in your excellent build.
Made HB kit so far, I see you don't spend much time dry-fitting. Engine nacelles fitted well after removing like 0,3mm of matherial on the inner side, around 2,5-3cm from the joint. Spine fitted excellent in mine with no sanding. The only place I've used putty were wing rivets, other than that I had to put inserts of 0,3mm styrene in joint between forward and main fuselage next to landing gear bay.
I'm building the Revell 1/48 Maverick's F14 and to say it's a bag of overpriced shite that Revell should be ashamed of selling would be an understatement. It makes the Tamiya Sea Harrier look like a great kit.

Yes the amk does have some disappointing fit issues. Tamiya is king!

After working on the Tamiya and amk, yes I did rush through the dry fit on the hobbyboss. Am sure it can be made into a very nice cat.
hello GalaxyMan,
the comparison of the kits is great and it's a good job. what is your buying advice: quality / price thank you in advance
Looks like Tamiya and AMK is the only way to go.
Those 2 are the best. I will post finale videos soon
