Actually I'm from Minsk, Belarus, but spent some time in Moscow, this summer, for example. I can tell you that Moscow is really AWESOME place for skateboarding. There are lots of great skate parks (will provide links), and the level of skating is really high. There are tons of street spots and the centre of the city is covered with granite paving stone, which makes it really comfortable to skate. A problem is lack of good roofed parks, but it should be solved shortly. But, what concerns Belarus it is really awful country for skate. In Minsk the first good wooden skatepark was opened only a year ago, and it's already not in a good shape. There are some great spots, but you will always have problems with police while skating street. There are really few spots in Minsk where police wouldn't chase you. He and a few of his comrades should have been in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater or at least some other skateboarding game. First invented in America but refined from all around the world as more and more styles and tricks are being added to it
