    Thank you!
    I see a lot of comments saying they want to see you remove the bearing but, I was looking for a video that explains that it’s possible to change the whole hub without the crazy process to swap the bearing!
    Plenty of videos out there that show bearing replacement!

    How much different is this for a 4x4? I have an 08 Sorento. I was told the assembly is pressed onto the axle, so for replacing the hub assembly, is there more to do than this? The Kia manuals shows taking off the entire knuckle assembly, but that was for a bearing replacement- needing a shop to press it out. Thanks for the help.

    I tried this fix on mine but the wheel bearing is froze. I tried prying, pulling, and beating to no avail. Any ideas on how to remove a frozen bearing?

    THIS IS A WHEEL HUB REPLACEMENT, NOT JUST WHEEL BEARING. ANYONE CAN DO THIS... WE WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET THAT BEARING OUT.

    What's the difference between hub and bearing?

    • @JoDaddysGarage
      @JoDaddysGarage  7 лет назад

      The hub assembly includes the part your wheel mounts to, and the bearing. You can having the bearing pressed in by a repair shop if you choose to just have it replaced.

      Is it a 4 wheel drive? Is it the front or rear wheel bearing?

    Wrong dude, no large nut to remove. 4 hard to get to bolts in back! Should let viewers know.

    You replaced the entire hub bub. Your video title is misleading.

    • @JoDaddysGarage
      @JoDaddysGarage  8 лет назад

      +ditto True. I corrected the title. It was simpler to just do the assembly. Thanks.

      The assemblies for the rear are one entire unit. Four bolts from the back. Remove and hang the brake caliper and then pull the four hub bolts from the back. 14 mm 1/2" drive socket. A 3/8th's inch ratchet wont cut it. Torque em down to spec. Good vid Jo. The Optima ( 2002) I did doesn't have the inner nut. It's all one unit from Napa for about 60 each side. In order to replace the rear parking brakes on the Kia Optima, it's by far easier to pull the rear hub assembly out of the way there by affording you more room. Use a lot of PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench and soak em down good. Rood dirt and the years will rust them in place. In order to defeat the rust, attempt to tighten the four bolts first , THEN back them out.

      Sorry about that. After I found it was bad, I decided to replace the assembly. I had problems with pressing a similar bearing on another vehicle, and had to do it a second time. I felt it was more cost effective to replace the assembly. I apologize for the misleading title.
