Man... #5 can't be emphasized enough. It's not just the money it could cost, it costs time too. I put a stealth 64 in a few months ago. Everything was going great. The last thing I had to do was put the banjo bolt on the oil line to the turbo. I was torquing it to spec and it snapped in half. Nobody in the entire state of Texas had one. Looked in other states too and couldn't find one. They were on back order for weeks. Who knew? Not me! I usually work with Jim at Duramaxtuner. He is the man. Luckily he found me one at dirty hooker diesel. My truck could have been out of commission for a month or more because of that stupid banjo bolt. But I got lucky and it was only 4 extra days (still a lot). All that aside. I LOVE that stealth 64. Totally worth it. It does everything.

Thanks for the replies. Stock is good for me!!! I believe in "if it works good, don't try to fix it."

There are some PM things you can go through that are not as involved as doing a turbo upgrade. PCV re-route, Intake, Lift Pump, IC pipes, and certainly a tune built for towing with a turbine brake would be nice. Feel free to give us a call and we can walk you through your options, 815-568-7920.

So, I just bought a 06 LBZ with 87500 miles and it seems to run great. I'll be retiring soon and will be towing a 11000 lbs 5th wheel trailer full time. Is there a more RELIABLE or better for towing turbo than the stock one? Any tips on keeping this one running trouble free.

brian phelps why do you want to change the turbo? The stock one is just fine for what you will be doing.

I'm still running stock turbo and love it I have friends that have gone to non vgt turbos and I would never go to a turbocharger that isn't variable on my BZ id say stick with stock!
