  • SUMMARY
What do you believe about God? Who and what has contributed to that belief? Are you sure you are right? As we start a new series, Far From the Father, JP teaches us about God by examining when Jesus taught about the Father in Luke 15.

I was truly blessed by this as an older single woman. major take away: don't be so focused on the person you forget the purpose. The purpose of Marriage is to point to Jesus and His bride. A deeper relational life with Jesus is the ultimate life.

I love this and already sent it to 3 people. SOOOOO THANKFUL FOR JP. His ministry God has used to bring me out of a valley of a season, a really tough trial with lots of heartache. I am confused and don't know if I understand the point made around 43:00 mins though.
I understand he is saying this text can apply to people who are already Christians, but then I got confused how he said but legalism or self righteousness made them go astray. I see it as Christians who get caught up in sin but come back in repentance to the father.. but I would say that they already have had a moment of repentance before this which made their salvation possible (not just existing in the church) Or am I misunderstanding the point???

also question - God will let us rebel but not for too long? Won't he not let His sheep go stray for too long (he has to be sovereign over that)?
