Well, I would like to watch the ratting vid but all I can get is the welcome page, any chance of putting it on RUclips, modern technology bloody hate it,never straightforward.
@@lyndenhodder5655 Sorry about that Lynden! If you follow this link through to the Discord page and then look on the left hand-side you'll see the different chats. Look for #reviews to find the ratting vid. discord.gg/XCNfM89YAJ You'll also find many people on the #introductions channel too as that's where the chat has naturally started. Hope you work it out! I had one of the original ones with a wood stock, i must admit i didn't get on with it, it shot ok , but that automatic safety drove me nuts, so it didn't last long, 😁👍
It takes a bit of getting used to. Fortunately I cut my teeth on Weihrauch springers, so knock off the safety catch isn't an issue for me! Thanks for watching.
Bought one of these. It did 8 ftlbs through 3 different chronos. Took it back and swapped for another. Same thing except it went down to 6ftlbs after just 3 mags. (one of the chronos was an FX radar unit). Took it back and got a refund but no apologies or sympathy expressed by retailer despite me clocking up 260 miles of travelling back and forth. They insisted both guns tested at 11ftlbs+ on their chrono in the cellar and made me feel like an idiot. I have an absolute wonder of a springer - the Walther LGV which rivals my Air Arms PCP for accuracy so was disappointed with this experience to say the least. I have a Pard NV007A, it's brilliant.
@@airgunextra Funnily enough when I first got a chronograph (2years after purchasing the LGV) and tested this superb rifle, it too was only making 8.9ftlbs at the muzzle! I'd been shooting happily with it at short, garden ranges up until this revelation, thankfully, not hunting with it. A toddler could strip and maintain this over-engineered work of art and after, I think, it was 3 washers inserted over the spring-guide it bumped up to 11.5ftlbs and still shot quietly, accurately and with a kindly recoil. I recommend everyone get a chrono. I'm sure many without are shooting well under-powered guns and even, more worryingly over-powered, hence illegal ones. Thank you for your professional presentations and pleasant, friendly as well as modest manner, Richard. Also have the Pard NV007, a great tool for ratting. I have joined Discord.
So if we want to see a full review, actually using the gun to shoot as well we have to join the new channel ? Are you not going to full reviews in just one show from now on and it be a case of watch part one on RUclips and have to watch part two on a different channel? I have followed you for some time and I do have to say that I don't think I can be bothered with having to watch two different sights just to watch one show ! Hope it goes ok for you but I will just watch the reviews and miss out on the best bits as I aren't much good with Tec stuff 😟
Hi Colin. We're still planning on reviewing gear on here as before, including me shooting the rifles. On this video we didn't show the usual 'me shooting the rifle on the range' segment that we have in other reviews because the Walther Rotex RM8 Varmint UC is almost identical to the full rifle version we reviewed back in June, so the footage would have been be very similar. Moving forward we'd like to show the rifles and scopes in the field when it is appropriate to do so. RUclips has a lot of rules and restrictions when it comes to showing hunting so we're trying out Discord where things are a little more relaxed. Our Discord site also enables more interaction and chat than we can get to in the comments section here on RUclips. I am the ultimate technical idiot but its really very easy - take a look at the tutorial video on here if you get stuck. I hope to see you on the other side!
@@airgunextra sorry m8 , unless the shooting community stands up to RUclips and activists they will win ! Leaving to show content isn't the answer ! We need to educate the public to why we shoot and why it is needed also why it's better than poison and traps, people that live in town's and don't have a clue about pest control and the reason you can't catch them in live traps and release them somewhere else need to be shown and the only way to do this is by educating them, RUclips is, with all it's faults, is the way to do it ! Got to share why we do what we do out there 🤔 if they take over the platform , nobody will ever see what we do unless they shoot and we are the minority that is getting the bad press, but doing all the good conservation work for free ! I can't agree with you on this one, sorry Please do keep up the good work as I have watched your channel for some time and actually like the fact you fumble along some time and make the odd mistakes, it makes it real 👍👍

Hi Andy. Unfortunate I believe not, at least with the standard fitting the comes with the Pard. It may be that there's an aftermarket fitting. Try Eagle Vision - eaglevisioncam.com. Unless anyone else on here can help?

Hi Alex. I just tested it and it's working for me. Some things to try include: - Updating the browser you are using to the latest one - Ensure you're not using any VPNs - Try a different browser, perhaps Edge. Sometimes on people's work laptops there can be more stricter security settings that can break captcha. Let me know how you get on.

I'm glad you got there in the end Mike. LGV is an all time classic - shame they don't make them any more :(

Yes. The fitting is a standard 1/2 inch UNF thread.
