  • How to add interest to any wall easily with this DIY accent wall pattern
First my apologies for the format this video was taken in. It was taken for Instagram and it doesn't convert well to landscape.
Material we used for this was
    10- homedepot.sjv.io/n1AEBV
You can use less expensive furring strips and this will be 1/3 the cost. My ceilings are 10' and I needed to knock out this project as quick as possible so I opted for the more expensive MDF that came in a 10' option. Furring Strips seen here homedepot.sjv.io/b3qN0g
    Tools used
    Brad Nailer - homedepot.sjv.io/Gj0Xyr
    Miter saw
As promised here is how we calculated measurements and decided on spacing.
We calculated our pattern by adding the size of 2 boards 1.5" each and the space in the middle 3/4"
The total of the pattern is 3 3/4”
We decided on 5 sets making the total 18 3/4”
We subtracted pattern total from the wall size of 44 3/4"
    This equals the space left.
We divided the space left by the amount of large spaces in our pattern (4) to get our large space measurement of 6.5"
Doing it this way the pattern was perfect and even all the way across.
