    Sometimes it just goes like that. Gotta factor in the bottom line and all the little accessories needed for the end cost, many big stores tend to forget this.

    Thanks for the shoutout btw! We would like to clarify a few things regarding the S100.
    There are 3 different spec of S100 that retails in China. Base version that retails for $89(China), which is the one you have in your video. Competitive version which retails for $110(China) and Competitive Upgrade version which retails for $136(China). All of these version came in either transparent or black transparent shell with either blue or red anodizing. For the Monkee Mods version, we are sell their Competitive Upgrade Version with only red anodizing as a start. So it's purely different business decision that different version of the blaster was made available in the international market.
    We decided to skip other cheaper versions because it's bit confusing and with such a huge plunger tube, you will need all those extra internal upgrade to push the fps number in a reliable manner. We have a close working relationship with ZWQ(the manufacturer) hence we got a better wholesale rate and full support from them. All the China spec blaster came with only 1.2 spring(which is the one you had). For ours and international variant, we requested at least a 1.5 spring is bundled(180fps), then we ourselves added a 2.0 spring (280+ fps) before we ship them out.
    We are sorry to hear that you lost a sponsor, perhaps we can make that up for you?

      Absolute would like to work with your company, as I've been a customer for years and already know the service you provide is something I can and obviously have endorsed.

    I just think it sucks that those of us with the base model apparently can’t upgrade to the better parts. I’ve search and searched for the metal parts to make the “base” model into the “better”model such as the metal sling point, plunger etc.

    Does it take other brand magazines? If it can be fitted with an adaptor (like the Nexus) and then Talon mags then it's a possible, but if you have to buy new magazines to fit it then it's a no go just for that.
    Construction looks solid, I like those through bolts, but as you say, the weak spring makes it pointless.

    • @MongooseJakeNerf

      Just needs an adaptor to take other mags, seems someone was already working on that if I heard correctly. Monkee mods sells the mags for this, but an adaptor is a far better idea.

      @@MongooseJakeNerf Yes, I see Monkee mods has a link to a 3d printed adaptor, but the link goes nowhere and at present it looks like you'd have to print it yourself. Hopefully they'll eventually offer the adaptor ready printed along with the S100.

    Good review bro you made good points the reason it shoots soft is because of Chinese toy laws but the price difference is a deal breaker I got a xm1014 from them that was 50 bucks cheaper then Amazon lol thats why I shop around

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  3 года назад +3

      Well, the same manufacturer does the same blaster for Monkee Mods, and the upgraded spring is included in the kit at no charge, as is the alloy plunger rod/plunger head combo (which looks awesome in my opinion), all for $150 instead of the $175 or $170 now as it's on sale.
      Zhenduo is just beat by Monkee Mods on this one, but they've got other blasters like that XM1014 that are fine options.

      I was about to say the same. I think it's a good idea shipping it with a "safety" spring.

      Yes, that it is. I'd love to see Chinese companies do more of this sort of original design work instead of just copying previous designs.

      I think with the gel ball/airsoft ban, we will probably see a few more.
