    The pro day results
    You got a few guys 4.9s laser and then they ran 4.4 at pro days.
    How long was their training for Scotty Washington for example

    If you're not running on your toes then where are you running? only the ball of the feet touching the floor? Since people say the heel shouldn't hit the floor & Bolt doesn't let the heel touch looking at some slow mo clips. Would be interesting to see a good sprinter run barefoot for demo purposes

    would you place a strict emphasis on all the key accl. nodes such as the negative step, parallel lines and forward projection even when a basketball or football player is trying to accl. with a ball in hand or dribbling ?

      @LesSpellman  3 года назад +1

      yes with football...basketball is a little different

    Hi, nice presentation.
    I'm following some 800m guys (800m/1500m type).
    Do you think that sled training could be a factor in this type of athlete?
    I mean, one of the factor that divide elite from average is the so called "anerobic speed reserve" (different between V02max and VMAX measured by a 50m all out test).
    So, if training acceleration with some sled work lead to an improvement of Pmax and Vmax, maybe this type of training could be usefull even in a middle distance athlete.
    I'm curios about your idea.
    Thank you for the contents!

      Absolutely. There’s studies coming out now about FVP for power endurance athletes & now horizontal force is strongly linked to hip extensor strength, which is valuable for all distances

    For the kid who projected well but his opposite shin angle fell and in turn messed his reactivity up and switching ability, what protocols would you use to remedy this? Thanks in advance for everything you put out bro!!

    So, a sled, or a training partner holding you could improve acceleration by a lot?🤔

    Hey hope you get to see this Coach im a 100meter specialist i rarely do any distance longer than 100meters in training, i have power because I solely focus on speed work and short endurance based training. Recently i spoke to another pro athlete running good times in the 100meters he has a SB of 9.91...he told me for the past five months since he stopped doing the 200meters because of age and trying to run only the 100m at the olympics,he has solely been focusing on building speed-work and i asked him about endurance he said they would do a sled session of up to 50meters for endurance 50mx 6 sled pulls,do you think this is a smart plan ? Does it make sense for a person who only runs 100meter to overload themselves in training bu doing 150s,200s? Why is it that an NFL player who has no track experience never, never sprinted more than 120meters comes to a track meet and runs 10.30 in the 100m is it because the NFL training focuses on power and speed and no endurance as opposed to most track programs.....thus leaving an athlete fresh and stronger?

    I am like this, my top speed is 22mph + but my acceleration is shit. I run 4.9s for 40yd.

    • @Josepowerzoro
      @Josepowerzoro 2 года назад

      how do you know you run 22 mph ? There’s no way a 4.9 max your max is 22 mph unless your slow of the start. I a track sprinter and I’ve learned a lot I study every single day on sprinting. So what I recommended is to first learn to better your technique by this video. Next I want to forget what your doing when your sprinting out it to your side if you want to accelerate better you want to project your hips forward always when your in that 3 point stance or blocks remember the cue project my hips forward not your knee because using that cue your knees and shin angles should be in a better position to sprinting faster. We’ll hope that helps and keep training on your technique and explosive power Everyday you should strive to learn more.
