The women's match was really good here. A lot of Defiant matches (male and female) have been really fast, seemingly cut short but this felt like it went for a proper length, there were the near-falls, reversals, escapes... and a solid submission victory.

Part of Rory Coyle's whole thing is how he doesn't look like your typical wrestler, or champion, for that matter. That's why when he challenged Rampage, he said he didn't want to wrestle him, he wanted to fight him. I think that's part of the appeal, as well as this being his home crowd, obviously.

Benji and Bayley I kind of get, but they're just very likeable, not necessarily a gimmick theft Nia and Gia both are just bigger girls and have a couple similar big man/woman moves Laura Di Matteo is a technical wrestler, Sonya Deville is a former MMA woman so not even sure what the similarity is on that?
