When my son was 5, I had little money. For his birthday week, I had called ahead to several businesses, to find out when we could visit, so that he could learn how things were made. We went to where they printed our local newspaper, saw how they did it, then got a little free token gift (I think it was a ruler at this place). At the potato chip factory, of course he got a little bag of chips. If a business told me he was too young to be in the place, I asked when a school group was scheduled to come through, saying I would be watching just my one child, and would keep him next to me. Most fun was the ice cream factory, and he got a free ice cream bar there. So my vacation days were well spent with him! Each day he would wake up, & learn which adventure we would be going on!
This might be off subject but everything is connected somehow right. Being a single, elderly person I have discovered you can eat cheaply. I know you have talked about this. For example, I eat one main meal a day usually around noon. For example you can buy a large potato, fill it with vegetables like baby portabella mushrooms (delicious) etc. and you have something filling. If you have to do it you can. Yesterday I went to a farmers' market at a community college across the street. They were selling stuffed potatoes for like $10-$17+ each depending what you wanted. I said uh no. I walked back home and made my own for about what a buck ot two. It's all about choices. Stop eating out so much. Make dishes that you can expand (add nutrition filler). And it's delicious.
Baked potatoes are so yummy and filling. I like a little leftover ham and some melty cheese. Or Sometimes a little avocado. Sometimes just get creative. So versatile.
I babysit for free for a family that is having a rough time. I'm paying it forward because when my kids were little, the pastors wife did that for me. She taught me how to can food and also gave us free goat's milk. Moral of the story is pay kindnesses forward.I know this is off the topic kind of but it's nice to get free stuff, but it's also nice to do things for people for free.
So true. You get back what you put into this world. I used to babysit my bff's kiddos too. She's helped me out a million times too. Childcare is so expensive I'm sure it's greatly appreciated.
My husband and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary today. We went to breakfast and didn't exchange any gifts. Because we don't need or want any "thing". We live a very simple life and enjoy every simple minute.
I agree with your viewpoint and I have lived this way my whole life. My mom was a child of the 1930’s Depression and we always had hand-me-downs or sewed our own clothes. We made handmade gifts for holidays, cooked our own food, did housework for our allowances, and had bank savings account by age 10. My mom discouraged us from buying comics, magazines or popular records because they were short-term pleasures. We didn’t have TV, instead played outside or ping-pong in our basement, made costumes and presented “shows”, and went to the library regularly. We were never bored and were very happy! As an adult, I don’t have a TV either, just a computer and internet. We all 3 have advanced degrees and are a pharmacist, engineer, and physician.
I don’t think she is hoping to take it with her. She is living a very conscious and thought out life. I work in retail and wonder everydayWTF do people do with all the things they buy. No wonder we are overwhelmed with trash. You go prepper princess
There are a group of us senior ladies we go from age 65 to 81 We find all sorts of free entertainment. There is are many things we go to parks and walk. Churches offer movies , our local theater offers an afternoon once a month for seniors movie. We during the summer months go to each others homes and have bring a dish picnics, this is just to name a few.
I watch your videos and girl, you have it together as I have for many, many years. I live like you do! I never pay a dime in interest but my credit rating is 826. I lost my husband 20 years ago, who left me with nothing besides hospital bills and a 16 year old and one in college. I made it happen as you do, and I still do at age 73. I own my own home, debt free, but working my butt off when I was young leaves me living off the interest I make and I am thankful. 16:54
Some of you guys in the comments are being unrealistic.... Trying to go on extravagant vacations for free... She's talking more about things needed and fun that you can enjoy for free or very low costs by taking advantage of some local resources.... Be imaginative and creative....she's giving you the tools... Figure it out
I was raised by a woman that was the oldest girl of seven that was raised during the depression. Born in 1933. My grandparents married October 1929. I've lived on nothing forever. I'm 68. I'm tired of it!
During the pandemic, I got a $100 projector and a $100 speaker set, I connected my Roku and a BluRay player to it, and on Fridays I like to check out new movies from the library, for free. I’ll also make my own movie theater style popcorn at home with coconut oil (which I got a gallon of it for $25 on Amazon, and it’s lasted about 2 years and I still have half a container left) and I’ll sprinkle Flavacol on it (again, the container of flavacol lasts for several years) and I’ll have a movie night which feels close to a theater experience without the massive crowds and the cost that comes with going to the movies. I haven’t gone to the movies since and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. Minus the initial cost, my movie nights are basically cheap or they cost Pennies on the dollar
Hi I came across your video where you told us about the awful things that have happened in your life. I had to write to you to express my sorrow for you. People who are unkind to you on here are not worth a toss, please ignore them. They do not matter. People who have used you, maybe it is because you are so kind, be careful who you associate with in the future. For those of us who have low self esteem because of how we have been treated we sometimes try to hard to make friends and find love, be careful. Look for the red flags and listen to your intuition. I wish you the very best and I think you are lovely, courageous, kind, interesting and thoughtful. Catherine
I love the fact that not only are you frugal but also a huge dog lover, great to see. My motto is if it's for free it's for me, I get clothes from my mom when she goes to donate, great stuff too. Walks are free , having a friend over for coffee, enjoying my backdeck on a nice day with my laptop or just enjoying my home. Being content with what one has and happy with what one has, is a great way to save money as well ❤ NO need to chase the every changing decor ideals either, we only replace items that need to be replaced.
The simple things in life will make you happy. Going for a walk in nature, spending time with your dog, and eating good food at home! I'm retired after working 46 years straight and now I'm a home body! I just like to stay at home as much as possible. I change the water in the bird bath and just sit in my rocker watching & hearing the happy birds. I've seen deer, foxes, hawks, black rat snakes, and night owls. It's so nice to live on many acres of land and watch the wild life do their thing.
Unplug cords when not in use. I never thought it would make a difference but it does! Turning the heat way down at night does too. When I want a new look in the house, I shop my home. I bring upstairs things down, and vice versa, including artwork and pillows. Bringing in branches and greenery from the yard is free and makes a beautiful statement in a big, tall vase.
Unplugging does make a difference.. We went room by room, found two extension cords plugged into the wall and nothing Ion the other end. Smh. You would be surprised by how many extra things you have plugged in.
@@garlicgalore Same with clothes, if I don't want to wear something anymore, I put it away. When I discover it later, it's like a new outfit to me again. You can also refashion clothes to something completely different.
I’m glad that you mentioned the library. Mine lends museums passes that allow entrance up to five people. I’ve been to almost every museum in NYC 🗽 thanks to that.
I live an hour north of Philadelphia for the last 37 yrs and gave not been able to get my husband to take me to see the museums in NYC! 😢 But we have 3 nice ones here in Bucks County, Henry Mercer museum and his home Font Hill and his tile works.
@@maried3717 It would be nice if you could go with a friend, take pix, & show him how nice it is. Maybe then he would go with you some other time. Or look for pix of those NYC museums online, & show them to him. What do you think?
I am sure writing a book wasn't a walk in the park and took a lot of your time, but have you ever thought about writing other series beyond living on almost nothing? For instance, "DIYing on Almost Nothing" would be awesome. As you renovate your home, it would be awesome for you to document it and share it with the masses. Love your videos!
I shop at thrift stores that way you can have more clothes and a lot of times high end clothing choices for cheap especially when some of the thrift stores have certain color tags for 99 cents.
My husband and I are really trying to live debt free. Our only source of debt (which some don't call debt) is the mortgage, but it looms over us since my husband hates his job and would love to retire lol. I am enjoying your videos so much because I had zero idea 1)there are so many free things available and 2)it puts into perspective how wasteful I have been the last ten years. My husband has always been a terrific saver, whereas I am the spender, but certainly by now we could have had a bigger nest egg if I had used my brain a little more. It's never too late though! We are big into thrifting-buying our clothes second hand, I enjoy that. And I make all my own greeting cards, hats, scarves which are prettier anyways.Thank you for being a huge inspiration 😊
It’s been difficult for my husband and me to attract friends, because we are so frugal, and have been very poor. I found it interesting that you pointed out the potential to develop that relationship with nature. While I feel everyone needs this, it has been solace to my loneliness.
You’re not missing dining out anymore. It’s a toss up whether u get sick or not. It’s around 20 bucks for a basic sandwich or burgers & fries. Yes. And they can’t get that right anymore. Fries will be soggy or burgers are so oily, you can see your reflection in the plate.
Your eyes just POP against your yellow shirt! By the way I loved you reminding us to build a relationship with nature. I was just thinking about that… my tulips are in bloom, peonies and iris. I haven’t even bothered to go out and look at them nor take a photo or so to help me remember them when winter comes again. Thank you, Prepper Princess.
I just came across your channel yesterday, I absolutely love this video! I'm recently divorced after 22 years, this is the first time living on my own... your channel is so good, thank you
I am watching this video as a rerun...I do go back and rewatch many of your videos..Thank you for all the information and knowledge that you have given us all on this internet...
You speak such truth. People spend way too much on food too. I can stretch a rotisserie chicken to 4 meals. I am also a minimalist, although it took me years to get there. Buy, buy, buy is not fun anymore. Living on a strict budget? That is a challenge I will continue to live by.
I have been following you off and on for several years. This video really sums up the beautiful and relaxed person you have become. We share a common philosophy but at 63 I still learned some new things from you today. 😊❤Agree Agree on feeding the ducks!!
I listen to audiobooks through my library I get them for free and they are returned virtually, no having to deal with overdue charges. I'm a bit I mean geek learning things entertain me.
We know people who just can't not spend. They have to buy constantly, if they can't buy it, they take out a finance agreement. In my house, one of our favourite things is long walks, take the dogs for exercise, feed the ducks, watch a favourite show on TV. Spend time as a family is more important than having the latest toy or trend. When things break we can afford to fix them now
I rarely go out to eat. I don't want to pay $7 for a matcha bubble tea drink when I can make it at home, the bread we like at the store is $6 I save so much money making my own bread at home and were so excited we have learned to make pizza dough and make pizza at home , there are so many things people can make at home , it's so easy and you save tons of money. I just found your channel and have been enjoying watching.
Ok this sounds like fun. Had to do a redo on my kitchen and had surgeries in between and now I have a stove again and I winbder the cost per loaf homemade vs cruddy store bought
There are so many crafts that you can do cheaply or free. For example, Making beautiful paper beads, junk journaling, making your own greeting cards or making decorative items from air dry clay. So many fantastic tutorials on RUclips.
I don't drink coffee. But I do make hot tea from home. And I get my tea bags on sale. And I put used bags in fridge. Then re-steep a couple of times. $3 worth of tea bags last about 6 months.
My downfall is my needle hobbies, which is my entertainment. Sewing, knitting, crochet, and food and herb gardening for prepping and preservation. I spend on those things. I wear my clothes for YEARS but I dress simply in good quality thrift and catalog sales, so I rarely shop for clothes, maybe every 3 to 5 years. I have an eccentric ascetic so my style is my own. I never pay full price for food, except for dairy, and shop clearance shelves for produce, breads, and meat. Mostly, I cook from scratch, meaning from what I have on hand. I cook and preserve for our dogs. I might drive my car twice a week to shop food sales to fill in gaps of my pantry. Other than that, I stay home much of the time. When my shoes wear out I keep them to work in the garden. I recycle linens into table cloths, curtains, cushions and dog beds that I donate to a local pet rescue. I forage weeds in my yard for teas and greens. I stew vegetable cutting, like carrot, garlic, onion skins and tops, herb stems, bones for broth that I can or freeze. As I write this I am drying dandelion flowers and wild violets for tea. My downfall is spending on my needle crafts. But it is my source of creative entertainment and if it is not supported, I would be completely destitute of personal joy.
Your attitude helped me to pay off my debt and to learn to make do with what I have, and you are twice as young as I am. Thank you for bringing me peace of mind.❤
Some grocery stores at the end of the day sell rotisserie chickens at the end of the day for half price. They are great for making chicken pot pies in a slow cooker, or use the shredded meat for tacos, burritos, or on spaghetti. Great for chicken salad sandwiches as well.
Because of your advice and information on Roku, I got a Roku , canceled my direct cable tv, and now I’m saving $120.00 per month. The Roku was only $29.95 and I love it. I have have many more tv choices with Roku. THANK YOU!
I have a Roku that connects to my internet which isn't cheap. I don't understand how anyone could use a Roku without internet. Love to hear how you do it.
@@whatsup848 , I am sorry if I mislead you. You are right, you must have internet to make a Roku connect, but I had cable tv, I had Direct TV, and I cancelled that cable tv and now the channels I watch are what Roku offers. So since I cancelled my cable tv I now save that cost which was $120 a month. I still have internet and must have it to make a Roku work.
deja vu🙃 I'm listening, picking up on familiar phrasing, then take a look though my history to confirm that I am not crazy, haha. Worth the relisten for sure :)
You are so right about entertainment. Feeding the ducks is so much better for you than going to a movie. Walking in the park so much better for your health than shopping in the mall. Go to the library and get a book to read. Pop a bowl of popcorn and read a novel.
Very good video. I am about to turn 65 and am not anywhere I had planned to be. I am learning this frugal life and.ot feels great. I began with Dave Ramsey, and I have gotten rid of all debt as well as having a cushion fund. The electric savings you have taught me simple idea of plug everything! I am competing with VA PGE for my money and I am doing better at it over the past three years. Thanks for your good input. Love the look of your home.
I think we all have seasons for everything and maybe theLoRd is moving you into another season for His purpose.. with your finance changes … I think your Rocky is adorable and I thought about you when I watched a video on a gal who trained her dog to use voice buttons to talk with her by pushing certain buttons..I was like oh my gosh Prepper Princess needs that for her pups!
Well said!!! I am just now coming to these conclusions you are helping us all with, in my late years. You are an inspiration to so many people. Stay strong in your message. And I pray your connected with God.
We were able to retire in our early 50's. Our youngest had finished college. We had already downsized to a 2BR condo. We were each offered health insurance and a small pension. Since I am a lifetime cheapskate and have reformed my husband, we've been retired for over 20 years. We live near Chicago. Most people don't think like we do. Some rent storage units. Tina, Al's wife
So i live in a two bedroom house and I have three kids. 2 boys( share a room with a bunk bed) and 1 daughter, which i converted the den into a room for her. My husband's dad basically said thats a temporary solution to your problem. You need a four bedroom home. Which i can agree is a little tight but I am the only one bringing in enough income. My husband can't make as much as me so he works on weekends and takes care of the kids during the week. This saves us a ton on daycare. It simply not plausible to get another house yet. We are not going to rush into debt
Nothing wrong with what you've set up for them, so long as they have a safe place to sleep. I have a similar situation. The boys don't have to spend all day in their room, just sleep and store their things. Don't let other people, especially someone not paying your bills, tell you what your family needs. 😊
I love your channel. I honestly don't care what you spend on bills. I come for real advice I can use to save some money. You deserve to be warm. You deserve a few nice things. Anyone who questions you isn't of your stature. So, keep up the good work.. $1k a month numbers don't prove how good you are, your actions do. You're amazing.
Hey Prepper Princess, I never get an update that you have a new video out. I think RUclips is messing with certain uploads, but I think you are very wise to upload a video twice with different titles. I watched the whole video again and listened to all your wonderful free ideas. Keep up the good work!
I live in Illinois. That second hand furniture is great. Although in the past 5 years or so bed bugs are everywhere. I don't know what the cheapskate method of getting rid of bed bugs is, and I don't want to find out.
Yes! There is sooooo much on RUclips that you don't need cable, etc. Free movies and documentaries, and lots of other stuff. If you like Court TV, it's there too. Pretty much everything you can think of is there. If you want, you can pay for ad-free RUclips, which isn't expensive.
My wife and i 64 and 62 are well off and retired for years. Tonight we agreed that we don't like order out, or restaurants and we hate the Tip push now. So, we can make food at home for 70 % less or go get some Grocery store food cooked like the Costco cheap roasted chicken and make a picnic and have a nice romantic picnic and ride in the country.
I’ve always found nice used furniture for nothing! We have double beds because the sheets are cheaper in that size ( also uses less washing water)and I buy clean used larger flat sheets rather than buying new fitted sheets which are getting expensive. I admire that you do all your own renovations/upkeep. I should be more skilled at that. We’ve always tried to work a bit less out of the home so that we could have more time working on our home and doing stuff with our kids by being self sufficient and teaching them those skills. Thank you for being so sensible!
i loved your comment about "competing with myself". measuring yourself against other people is damn near meaningless and maybe even detrimental. you measure yourself by your self-assessment of contentment, satisfaction, goodness, and goals that are meaningful to you. what other people do or achieve is their business.
Prepper Princess, this may seem rather gauche of me, but before I leave any library, I fill up my half gallon water bottle from their Elkay filtered water dispenser. It's for the customers. I make lists of all the free things I can take or engage in for fun and self betterment. I help myself to their free magazines and recycled paper. Great show! Keep it up.
I'm totally with you on the restaurants. I can't eat out either - always feel bad afterwards! For health care I would seriously consider cash pay as needed rather than insurance. Cash prices are so much lower and if you go with insurance there is no guarantee they will pay. If they don't, you are stuck paying the high insurance prices
I am freaking out! This is very relatable with the caveat that I appreciate that you mention activities. Please show the free day experience outside of your home - budget days are cool! Yeah!!!!
I so agree with everything you said about stuff and spending. I agree also with "entertaining" yourself with REAL LIFE!... and free stuff. You rock, Prepper Princess!
Board games and many of the other entertainment suggestions u mentioned require involvement with others- I'm just one 76yo- don't want to sit all day watching a TV even if I had one- I do however, watch news and some vids like urs on my phone. Maybe once a week a movie for $3.50 after church. Have one cat. Do a little yard work. Would love to have camper van to live in while I'm still able- forest Areas would be my dream! 😸
For Mothers Day (and other holidays or birthdays) I refuse to make restaurant reservations. Instead I bake and cook and meet in a relatives’ home, bring food (others bring food too) and we all have a great time. It’s definitely about creating memories with friends and loved-ones.
Watching Princess' videos I've realised I'm spending far too much money on beer at the shops. Four pint bottles of decent British beer (what we call 'real ale') in England costs at least £6 ($7.70) now. Whereas my home brew costs around 50p (64c) per GALLON of equivalent strength. Meaning that shop bought beer costs 24 times more than homebrew. I've been lazy and haven't brewed recently but have now got back into it.
As always, very inspirational. I got a crash course in frugal living 28 years ago when I became a single parent. My financial situation improved in later years but I've never given up living frugal. Even with all that, I still always learn something new from PP's videos.
Your puppy is such a sweetheart. Oh..those looks he was giving you in the beginning!! What a love. We miss having a dog so.much. But our cat is the boss!!
Thank you for making this video and your book. I am in 30s and trying to live frugal as a single parent with no child support assistance. So your videos are very valuable for me
I have no child support for the last 12 years for my son and being frugal has helped us monetarily but also changed our mindset and has helped my now pre teen the importance of saving and wise spending choices.
Hey Princess, love your videos, learning so much from you! Would just like to know how you keep your dogs cheaply? What do you feed them etc? I have five. Thank you. ❤
She has a video from over a year ago maybe two years ago where she shows how she makes homemade food for Rocky. He has stomach issues and had to give him a specific diet. She includes veggies if I remember correctly. I’m not sure what she does now Nala is part of the family lol. Ive seen videos for making homemade with peas and rice and some other stuff. When the shelves were empty of pet food during the pandemic, I stocked up on dry peas, rice and other things to make a lot of homemade dog food. I cook whole chickens and make bone broth out of the bones and you can add that to dog food for extra nutrients if you can’t afford to add lots of chicken meat.
I’ve watched your videos for years. Your an inspiration. I’m goal oriented as well, another 3 years of living at poverty level is worth it if I make my goals.
I love that you don't spend money on entertainment. There's so much FREE entertainment. We don't pay for entertainment either (with a few exceptions for our teen daughter). We do pay for a membership for her to go to our local pool as we have no free pools or lakes in our area & she's training to be a lifeguard so she gets a super discounted membership. We love picnics at the park or hiking, our dog LOVES it. Free events are huge too! It's so entertaining and free music, activities, etc. We bring our own food and drinks because I'm not paying $10 CND for a drink that I can buy 100x more servings at the grocery store for the same price.
We buy groceries and that's about it. We expect to have our house paid off this year. His dad's house is almost ready to go on the market. We'll use part of it to pay off our house, part of it to buy another fixer upper, and the rest to finish renovating this one and sell it. We'll be moving to Western Pennsylvania. Fixer uppers are cheap out there along with land. We don't do Christmas. We exchange kindnesses. Last movie we saw in the theater was Home Alone 2. The game with the birdie is Badminton. I swear you did this video a week or so ago.
I love to paint with watercolor and to craft. Once you purchase the paint, paper and brushes you're good to go for a long while, and you can display your art in your home, or sell it. BTW that is one comfy dog. My dog brings me a lot of love and joy.
Hello, my dear! I really enjoy your videos very much! So much wisdom in them. They are a treat to listen to. On the weekend, when I am busy with work around the house, in the kitchen etc, I make a playlist of your videos and listen to them while I do my business. Also, I love the music at the end, when you are on the couch with Nala. Can you please tell me what it was? Thank you so much!
So you moved from Arizona to California. Would love a video and how moving to Cali is actually cheaper. I think most people consider it to be a very expensive state to live in. Best to you.
Princess prepper… I have a question. How do you keep your dogs protected from diseases? Which immunizations or vaccines do you give them? Or how do you get them cheap or free?
When my son was 5, I had little money. For his birthday week, I had called ahead to several businesses, to find out when we could visit, so that he could learn how things were made. Catherine
I am a carbon copy of you and Homestead Tessie. Unbelievable ! Frugality is my middle name. Love you two ladies. GOD BLESS.
I have family members that are hoarders so whenever I need anything I ask them first and they just give it to me 😊
I love the fact that not only are you frugal but also a huge dog lover, great to see.
You must be the coolest aunt ever, spending time not money. Kids need more people like you
The simple things in life will make you happy.
My entertainment is the library, free RUclips videos, (thank you, love your channel), walking, hiking, going to parks, etc.
I enjoy sitting on the front porch just hearing the birds watching the birds and squirrels.
Moving what we already have makes it new again!
Are you unplugging all cords, or do you mean just the ones with a charging plug.
I went on vacation one year and turned my electric all off at the box excluding the fridge.
Yes on the DYI...
Another way to see museums for free or very cheaply is to check with your local library and see if they have passes available.
It’s been difficult for my husband and me to attract friends, because we are so frugal, and have been very poor. I found it interesting that you pointed out the potential to develop that relationship with nature. While I feel everyone needs this, it has been solace to my loneliness.
I wish we were neighborsI love to be frugal.
Me too
You speak such truth.
Such wonderful dogs. I’m still amazed at how quickly you turned Rocky around and he now loves Nala ❤
I listen to audiobooks through my library I get them for free and they are returned virtually, no having to deal with overdue charges. I'm a bit I mean geek learning things entertain me.
I like like LIKE my library. Audiobooks are my fav. And cookbooks. And how to books. Love learning how to do new things.
U r awesome!
Your attitude helped me to pay off my debt and to learn to make do with what I have, and you are twice as young as I am. Thank you for bringing me peace of mind.❤
Pet care video please!!! Your dogs look healthy and I am certain they eat so much better than the average dog
Some grocery stores at the end of the day sell rotisserie chickens at the end of the day for half price. They are great for making chicken pot pies in a slow cooker, or use the shredded meat for tacos, burritos, or on spaghetti. Great for chicken salad sandwiches as well.
Dude that pretty much ended once groceries started doubling. That just doesn't happen anymore
You are rare for these times and are happy with how you are living, brava you are a survivor. Wishing you continued success.
@@thepeacefulcabinfairy4455 Thank you. I kept thinking I was missing something.
Almost everything I see on Roku is a cost viewing.
Your love for your dogs is beautiful. Pure heart.
deja vu🙃
I'm listening, picking up on familiar phrasing, then take a look though my history to confirm that I am not crazy, haha. Worth the relisten for sure :)
Me too 😂
You are so right about entertainment.
April 25, 2023 Dave Ramsey's and Prepper Princess's Blunt humar & his energy are VERY FUN AND ENJOYABLE, & his Advice is wonderfully effective.
Why is it PP looks younger on every video? Keep it up girl!
I noticed that too!
@@eveleenchan588 LoL, trying not to hate....
We are getting closer to paying off everything, then we gonna try n stash the cash!!! Greatly appreciate all the videos like this!
I think we all have seasons for everything and maybe theLoRd is moving you into another season for His purpose.. with your finance changes …
I think your Rocky is adorable and I thought about you when I watched a video on a gal who trained her dog to use voice buttons to talk with her by pushing certain buttons..I was like oh my gosh Prepper Princess needs that for her pups!
Well said!!! I am just now coming to these conclusions you are helping us all with, in my late years. You are an inspiration to so many people. Stay strong in your message. And I pray your connected with God.
Thank you prepper princess!. I always enjoy listening to your wisdom. You are a calm and intelligent voice in this crazy chaotic world. Thank you!
We were able to retire in our early 50's. Our youngest had finished college. We had already downsized to a 2BR condo. We were each offered health insurance and
a small pension.
I had a bedroom with my two sisters till I was 18. it can be done
Your doggie behind you on couch has this look on his face. Priceless. Too cute.
Yes! There is sooooo much on RUclips that you don't need cable, etc. Free movies and documentaries, and lots of other stuff. If you like Court TV, it's there too. Pretty much everything you can think of is there. If you want, you can pay for ad-free RUclips, which isn't expensive.
We had black and white T.V. and car rides for entertainment when I was a child. Born 1951.
Cool, car rides
My wife and i 64 and 62 are well off and retired for years. Tonight we agreed that we don't like order out, or restaurants and we hate the Tip push now. So, we can make food at home for 70 % less or go get some Grocery store food cooked like the Costco cheap roasted chicken and make a picnic and have a nice romantic picnic and ride in the country.
Use that Costco chicken for making soup from scratch. Bone broth too.
I totally understand when you say you are competitive with yourself. It's always about upping your standards.
I purchased a laminater, I print out my pictures...laminate them and put them on my large corkboard, it's great for family pics.
Great show! Keep it up.
If it’s free and you can use it, go for it.
@fft57d ❤ I like the way you think! 😊
This is very relatable with the caveat that
I appreciate that you mention activities.
Your dogs are adorable!
Meade making is a great hobby and tasty also cheap
Thanks for the inspiration!! The budget struggle is real and I’m so inspired by you to keep at it. Thanks again
As always, very inspirational. I got a crash course in frugal living 28 years ago when I became a single parent. My financial situation improved in later years but I've never given up living frugal. Even with all that, I still always learn something new from PP's videos.
I've seen this video before... it must have been re-uploaded.
Your puppy is such a sweetheart. Oh..those looks he was giving you
in the beginning!! What a love. We miss having a dog so.much. But our
cat is the boss!!
That Nala!!! What a sweetheart!!! You are blessed! Thank you for the inspiration!!
Same here.
I love when my pups curl up and sleep on me. She’s so sweet. 💗🐾
Beautiful to see how you get the love of your dogs and you get their love. You give them a wonderful loving safe haven. Greetings from Belgium. 🍀
happy sunday morning! my happiest times are spent playing with my rescue-cat and sitting with him beside me, watching (free) tv.
Repeated tips: most frugal living channels say the same things. I still need to buy your book. It's a conversation starter.
Don't forget your local library! My nearby library even has art to check out. And internet access.
My library has a board w/free & discounted museum, zoo, & other local attractions.
Depends on the city you choose.
I had 3 boys in one room, 3 girls in one room, and 2 boys in the last bedroom. Everyone was fine! 😊
Great episode and topic . Lol Rocky finally settled in on the sofa ❤
Princess prepper… I have a question. How do you keep your dogs protected from diseases? Which immunizations or vaccines do you give them? Or how do you get them cheap or free?
I use free pass from our library. Also we go to our community garden to pick some apples and strawberries during the season.
Thank you Prepper Princess! I love TV too and I watch old movies on RUclips channels
I identify with your cheapness!! Please update us on the insurance you choose, there are a lot of land mines out there!
