Hope y'all like the new setup! Also, I forgot to talk about this in the video but make sure you have the correct bolt pattern slected for your vehicle! 6 lug chevy's like my truck will be 6x5.5, but Ford's/Dodges/Nissan's/Toyota's etc... might be different. Thanks!
It's fun to see a McLaren owner get all excited about a beat up Blazer. It proves money does not make you happy, people, it is being happy with what you got! Small or cheap stuff can make you as happy as real expensive stuff you have to leave an arm and a leg for.
Street Speed 717 Something else you can do to it that gives it a big transformation on a budget is restoring those headlights and making them clear again. It’s probably not something you could make a whole video out of but it’s a good suggestion I think. Have a good one 👍
Hey Mike, I have a 99 K1500 Suburban. I cranked the keys, added leafs to the rear, true dual exhaust, built trans, and a few other odds and ends. It has been in my family for 12 years now and is the truck I learned to drive in. I love that I was able to bring it back from sitting idle for three years and hope to one day teach my kids how to drive in it like I was. I love these old trucks. Classic lines and great teaching points to learn to work and care for vehicles. I live an hour or so from hatteras if you wanna see it next time you're down this way. My fire chief has a 98 4 door Tahoe you would love to see too. Love this new build series as I can really connect with it. Keep it up man.
Hey man i had one of those trucks same size wheel and tire use a 1 inch piece of plate steel in between the bumper and the mount to space it out it wont rub and you wont have to cut up the one good bumper on the truck!
I always wanted a Blazer/2dr so I bought a 99 tahoe as my first truck, have ended up keeping it and daily driving it for 7+ years. this is such a fun build to watch
Thanks for the idea street speed 717. I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 and I have always had all terrans on the stock dodge rims and I have been trying to find cheap way for new rims and bigger all terrain tires and what you did to your Chevrolet blazer gave me the idea. So thank you. I plan on ordering the rims and all terrain tires here really soon.
Another sweet video! I have no witty comment this time but I do want to say you have for sure been an inspiration to make my own content! So thank you!
Well done mike! I agree, this is something a younger kid wanting to jump into modding cars or trucks and seeing massive results and gratification could actually save up for and do. I feel the more relatable you and other vloggers are to teenage kids, the Less likely they are to rot themselves inside watching twitch streams and grinding fortnite! Keep up the great work my dude! Also, it's almost boating season/race car season, so it's time to put In extra work right now to reap the benefits of a full summer season!
Man, I’m glad to see someone give these old Chevy trucks some love. I have a 93 Silverado and even though mine is RWD, it’s still great to watch you build this Blazer
Another thing that goes a long way especially for a budget build on these vehicles is the clear corner parking lights instead of the orange you wouldn't believe the difference it makes the front end looks so much better I had the same exact truck but are UConn with the silver rocker panels absolutely love it and brings back so many memories for me
The fact that you are showing how inexpensive these mods are in crazy. I’m soon to get my drivers license and am working on making enough money to hopefully buy a 2000 4 door blazer and your channel gave me very good ideas and reassurance that is it a good truck to drive with all you put it through.
i bought my '95 2 door Yukon almost 3 years ago. Flew to Wisconsin & drove it home. new steering box & tires, couple sensors replaced and it runs like a swiss watch leather interior is shot but that's what seat covers are for.
Hi Mike, My name is Dave and I have been watching your videos for years. I enjoy watching your videos. The content makes me laugh and smile. I know you get these comments all the time. I live in PA just like you!!! A few years ago, I was hit by car. Since then, my life has changed and the doctors can’t figure out what is wrong with me. I don’t know how much time I have left but I wanted to reach out and say Thanks for all you are doing!!! Long time fan!!! Dave
This project takes me way back I learned to drive in a 97 Sierra my dad bought when I was very young I actually remember test driving it with him he gave It to me when I was 16 with 195k and a whole lot of rust 😂 but I LOVED that thing
I like what you're doing with this truck and if I had it I'd cut out the whole rusty rockers and replace them with some galvanized with a matching curve rolled into it and a sharp crease under that to close off the bottom. Then I'd do a nice masking job and role out the whole lower body with bedliner for that matte, textured look. You could either mask over the fender flares and keep the middle break just above the lower trim, or do the entire sides right up to the side mirrors. There are some really nice bedliner coated trucks where I live and I'm planning to do my old Ford panel truck that way this summer. It's a cheap solution to finishing and protecting the body with a cool look to it. Anyway keep up the great content and I'll be watching.
This is my favorite build of yours, and I’ve been around since the first corvette... I’m a kid in high school and this makes me want to buy an old Chevy! My dad had a truck this generation and they’re built well!
I'm watching this at night and when I saw that bumper come off at the end....I ALMOST LOST IT😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I cant laugh tho everyone's asleep I love these videos Mike deserves all hes got and more (everyone does)
I am even more excited on top of my existing excitement to get the wheels and tires on my 97 Tahoe. Ordered an OEM 18" black 10 spoke from GM on a later model Sierra, with 275/70/18 xt tires. Just waiting on one more wheel and it will be ready to rip
These blazers are my dream trucks, always wanted to buy one but to hard to find one in good condition that worth the asking price. Strongly enjoy all your videos, keep up the work!
Mike, you almost killed me. When you ripped off Steve's rear bumper, I started laughing so hard, my dormant asthma kicked in, and I couldn't breathe. Thought I was going to pass out. Bless Steve's Heart.
I think you should up the budget a little, I would wrap it in a silver to match or close to the duramax, gloss black wrap the chrome and mirrors. It looks sweet so far! Also clear up them tail lights!
That’s so cool you literally ordered the same wheels in the same size that I did for my Cherokee, for being so cheap those wheels can take a beating I’ve loved them for the past year I’ve had them
Get some blacked out headlights and tail lights. Black out the grill and front and rear bumpers. And take off the side trim and bug guard on hood with the windows dark as hell and it would be a murdered out off-road beast
I'm so glad you're doing this build. I have a 96 z71 and this helps a lot

I aways liked that kind of truck. Here in Brazil we had that model, not the full Blazer/Tahoe model, just the "simple" truck, and it was called Silverado. Sadly even a 97 model it's pretty expensive here, around R$ 35.000 (~US$ 10,000) which is a LOT of money for a 21 year old truck. Anyway, loving that build Mike!
I bought a 2008 silverado and i love it to death but watching these videos with the project Blazer makes me miss my old 99' chevy k2500 with the 7.4L big block. I might buy a 90's truck for a project
WOW I was saying need to go taller to a 35" and wider on the wheel and offset but it turned out pretty damn good! Love the build couldnt be a better choice!!! I still have 3 K%'s and a 94 Tahoe/Blazer very close to this one
Thank you for getting good tires, there's a difference between a budget build and a junk build, so keep it up and don't be afraid to spend a little bit of money!!!
Those wheels are super clean. Off road fo sho!! Im going to get rims from that site for my 93 2500. The Blazer is already looking mean. An intake change and fuel filter change may open some cheap power for the low end torque.
Also my Yukon I had a 3 inch body lift which helped with the clearance of the tires a lot but I also had a 3 inch suspension lift you could call it but with these old blazers are yukons they make a very cheap 3-inch lift I think it's like 200 bucks actually and I was able to clear 35s no problem just something for you to look into since I know it's a budget build that's much better than cranking the torsion bars
Street Speed 717 you should put a rough country lift on it bc it would be really cool and if most people want to make a cheap off road build they would prolly put a cheap lift on it
Yo mike what if you blacked out the front end chrome pieces? I feel like a fully blacked out tazer would look like a off-road homeland security truck lol
I have a 94 dodge Dakota with no lift. My current tires on it are dry rotted and I’m in need of a cheap, new tire set up, so I came back to this video to try and get the same look. I have a 6 lug pattern and was hoping you could give me some insight on what I should get for this look?
15 inch or 16 inch rims with a 31, 33, 35 12.5's I find look the best, there is so many expensive and cheap rims out there for 15 inch and 16 inch rims its mind blowing so if you want expensive or cheap you get the best of both worlds... plus I like a lot of tire on my rim I wouldnt want to bend a rim after hitting a pot hole
That being said, you should check out Move Bumpers, they ship as a kit and you have to weld them together yourself, but they are a cheap alternative to say an Iron Cross and other such bumpers. For $500 to $700 you can get some nice bumpers, but like I said you gotta fabricobble them together yourself. www.movebumpers.com/chevy-bumper-kits
I love the new set up on the Blazer. I still wish I had a set like your old wheels for my truck but mine is not a 4x4 so your might not fit my truck. My 95 has the stock Chevy rally wheels and to me they suck.
Thanks!
18.08 should've been the thumbnail🤣🤣🤣🤣
Street Speed 717 a set of 1 inch wheel spacers on the rear will even out the stance
It's fun to see a McLaren owner get all excited about a beat up Blazer. It proves money does not make you happy, people, it is being happy with what you got! Small or cheap stuff can make you as happy as real expensive stuff you have to leave an arm and a leg for.

Mike are those 33x12.50 or 35x12.50?
Insurance company is probably confused
$320,000 Vehicle
$40,000ish vehicle
$1500 vehicle
Don't forget grandpa vette
And there are two VWs
Also dont forget the duramax and the raptor
@@SilentMustang the raptor was a loaner
@@bryce8174 might mean the quad raptor, idk if you insure quads in the states tho
Let’s see it take on the same exact hill with the new tires!! What a difference it will make.
Never clicked off a video so fast to see your amazing videos
JB Gaming lol I was watching DDE (Daily Driven Exotics) and I switched over to this video faster than you can snap your finger
@@DIESEL_MAFIATTV lol. Also big fan of DDE but streetspeed717 better to watch in my opinion
Streetspeed717 we get supercar content and supercar content and dde we only get supercar content but now we’re getting H1 content
Lol right.. finally a reasonable set of rims and tires
Hey Mike, I have a 99 K1500 Suburban. I cranked the keys, added leafs to the rear, true dual exhaust, built trans, and a few other odds and ends. Take off the front and rear bumpers and make one of those rock crawler bash bars
Hey man i had one of those trucks same size wheel and tire use a 1 inch piece of plate steel in between the bumper and the mount to space it out it wont rub and you wont have to cut up the one good bumper on the truck!
Can you explain better, so I can do this
Can’t beat the look of steelies
Well, that's just like, your opinion man.
I always wanted a Blazer/2dr so I bought a 99 tahoe as my first truck, have ended up keeping it and daily driving it for 7+ years.
this is such a fun build to watch
Thanks for the idea street speed 717. are you still getting after market bumpers it would make it look so good
Elijah Wheeler OEM looks better
Honestly should be called the high school student build.
Chevy has to be the best looking trucks I swear
Eddie Spivey dodge too
I forgot dodge
The best lookin dodge is the 1st gen
dirt bike addiction the 2000s are so weird looking
PrometheusWarriors _ct55 I think 2nd gens are the best, though the latest generation 2500s look really good too
Man, I’m glad to see someone give these old Chevy trucks some love. I have a 93 Silverado and even though mine is RWD, it’s still great to watch you build this Blazer
I can sense the passion on this one Mike. Reminds me of some of your vids from the apartment. Very cool. Makes me want to buy my 88 GMC back.
Another thing that goes a long way especially for a budget build on these vehicles is the clear corner parking lights instead of the orange you wouldn't believe the difference it makes the front end looks so much better I had the same exact truck but are UConn with the silver rocker panels absolutely love it and brings back so many memories for me
For once I can say I’m happy with your choice of rims and tires lol not some ridiculous shit like you have on the duramax lol nice! 👍🏻
I will always maintain, you want the most drastic change to a vehicle for the lowest price, wheels and tires are the way to do it.
Nice combo Mike.
My first truck was a 94 Silverado and I absolutely love these trucks. They’re super easy and cheap to modify
The fact that you are showing how inexpensive these mods are in crazy. I’m soon to get my drivers license and am working on making enough money to hopefully buy a 2000 4 door blazer and your channel gave me very good ideas and reassurance that is it a good truck to drive with all you put it through.
That 350 is timeless. 5 speed swap?
Powerglide with a manual valve body! Swap the rear end to super low gearing and rip her.
i bought my '95 2 door Yukon almost 3 years ago. Flew to Wisconsin & drove it home.
new steering box & tires, couple sensors replaced and it runs like a swiss watch

Time to go to Rausch Creek !
I love that wheels & tires can completely change how a stock truck looks, just like my 97 F150 4×4
I'm watching this at night and when I saw that bumper come off at the end....I ALMOST LOST IT😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I cant laugh tho everyone's asleep I love these videos Mike deserves all hes got and more (everyone does)
This truck content is WAY better then the Mclaren and supercar content, keep this truck stuff up, I love it!
This project 100 percent brought me back to the channel love it
Hell yeah man the tires look good, good thing about having a lot of tire is so that you can air down to 10psi for sand and 15-20 for mud👌🏼
You should try to get on America Truck night and try to do it
Finally something other than super cars, I can finally watch this channel again

I’m for real about to buy an old blazer like this and build it like yours! Your budget build has inspired me to get another truck!
Mike's knowledge of wheels and tires is very impressive.

“Now, if this was real life” 😂😂 love the vid Mike
Steve is allways getting the bad end of the stick😂😂lol awesome video mike🤙
That style of Blazers look so damn good no matter what you do to them. Great Job Mike
Get some blacked out headlights and tail lights. Black out the grill and front and rear bumpers. And take off the side trim and bug guard on hood with the windows dark as hell and it would be a murdered out off-road beast
Just got me a truck like that. Love this build even more now.
Why do the bad things always happen to steve
J_Ruiz 10 idk they bully him
Man those wheels look great! I like how Mike went with a meaty tire but not too extreme.
Get light bar and paint tow hooks red, it'll look good for cheap, this build is gonna be awesome, and I'm getting a '91 5.8 351 Bronco from my dad!
I'm so glad you're doing this build. I have a 96 z71 and this helps a lot

Next mod : Black powder coated front grill..or maybe some Off road lights
Looks great. I too was like a little kid on Christmas when I got new wheels and tires for my Jeep WJ.
I bought a 2008 silverado and i love it to death but watching these videos with the project Blazer makes me miss my old 99' chevy k2500 with the 7.4L big block. I might buy a 90's truck for a project
Hey Mike please show how to black plastic dip the grill and bumpers . Awesome build have a great night. Keith
My favorite series on RUclips.
Love this series!! I have a 1999 suburban I’m trying to upgrade and this is giving me good inspiration!
WOW I was saying need to go taller to a 35" and wider on the wheel and offset but it turned out pretty damn good! Love the build couldnt be a better choice!!! I still have 3 K%'s and a 94 Tahoe/Blazer very close to this one

Finally, decent old school build look.
Those wheels are super clean. Off road fo sho!! Im going to get rims from that site for my 93 2500. The Blazer is already looking mean. An intake change and fuel filter change may open some cheap power for the low end torque.
I would LOVE to drive a blazer like that!
End of video just the best. Lol poor Steve. Too funny
possible but some blocks between bumper and irons to move it forward enough, seems like you still have plenty of slope clearance offin it
Also my Yukon I had a 3 inch body lift which helped with the clearance of the tires a lot but I also had a 3 inch suspension lift you could call it but with these old blazers are yukons they make a very cheap 3-inch lift I think it's like 200 bucks actually and I was able to clear 35s no problem just something for you to look into since I know it's a budget build that's much better than cranking the torsion bars
Looking good Mike! This is real content most of us on the channel can relate to. Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
My first truck (not vehicle, second vehicle) was a ‘98 GMC Suburban k2500 with 33’s. Make’s me miss her.
I’m going to go look at a 97 2 door Tahoe on Monday, love those trucks and after watching this video I just want the truck more.
Mike, we need an interior update! Get some junkyard seats to fix your broken ones.
Mike the 4x4 off-road expert mechanic ohhh god
I hope you take it back to that same spot to test the difference that the tires made.
Daaaam it looks 🔥!! Thats how a truck should look like!! Small wheels fat tires
That ending was hilarious!
My favorite build from you so far. Amazing job man, and me being in high school makes this vid even better. I appreciate the site you showed us (4wp).
Nice tires! They will make a huge difference... Why didnt u get the center caps? Did u get a front alignment?
so cool bro . makes me want to go out and do the same and have some fun without worrying about messing anything up.
Pretty cool! I think it needs a black cattle guard next! Or a cheap power upgrade?
Street Speed 717 you should put a rough country lift on it bc it would be really cool and if most people want to make a cheap off road build they would prolly put a cheap lift on it
I had that exact wheel and tire set up on my Jeep.... it was a nightmare.... hope you have better luck with pro comp!
Love the wheel choice. Makes the truck look so much more aggressive!!
Steve is gonna have another heart attack when he sees those tires and wheels on the Blazer , be nice to him , LOL
Yo mike what if you blacked out the front end chrome pieces? I feel like a fully blacked out tazer would look like a off-road homeland security truck lol
All he needs in a 95+ GMC paint match grill with the bow tie in the middle. And some tint!
I got Mastercraft Courser MXTs for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. They were a cheaper tire but a real aggressive tread pattern
I have a 94 dodge Dakota with no lift. My current tires on it are dry rotted and I’m in need of a cheap, new tire set up, so I came back to this video to try and get the same look. I have a 6 lug pattern and was hoping you could give me some insight on what I should get for this look?
OMG i laughed so hard at the last clip! Side note the Blazer looks sick
Color matched grill and a cowl hood would make it look bad ass.
LOOKs great, what are the wheel and tire sizes? I have the stock aluminum wheels.
you know what would look good with the blacked out tires a diy rattle can paint job on the bumpers.
It would be sick if you also got a light bar on top of the blazer so many possibilities 😝😝
I hope you keep the blazer and keep on building it!
I love the new set up on the Blazer. I still wish I had a set like your old wheels for my truck but mine is not a 4x4 so your might not fit my truck. My 95 has the stock Chevy rally wheels and to me they suck.
Its coming together Mike. Looking good
Take front bumper off and Wald just a little shield on there so it covers stuff up
