What I’ve heard is that Sa is not able to buy the latest Medical equipment for Medical/ Surgical Procedures.. due to Rand/ dollar.. Sa Medical training is World Class Presently!
Maybe, just maybe, if monies being illegally applied for through SASSA, and many other corrupt officials and departments, was stopped, we would have more than enough money to pay for extra doctors that our hospitals need desperately.
Why cant a post be divided into two, hire two doctors for a single post. Each doctor works half the hours, earns half the pay and the state and civilian gets the benefit of multiple less stressed doctors.
Easy solution cut doctors pay by 50%. That way they will still be overpaid, but there will be a budget for all of them and they won’t need to sit at home in a country with a healthcare problem. Brain drain is BS they all come back eventually, maybe a specialist here and there but I’d like to see hard stats from somebody claiming “they leave”
@@jamesfulton69 rubbish give them 5 years those countries have their own challenges most expats I know will come back or regret not coming back. It’s only greener on the other side because there is just as much manure
@@johnmajor9564 it’s not an “African” solution it’s a capitalist solution, you lack imagination. The situation is an oversupply of doctors in a market which can’t afford them because of communist medical aids over-regulating the industry. In fact, they should sommer make it performance based pay, most doctors in state hospitals I wouldn’t trust with a broom. Doctors are the only profession in which they can literally kill people without repercussion. They aren’t people anybody should look up to or pay that much. Cut their pay, make medicine affordable, as easy as that

A very African solution which will bring more chaos to SA
Unrealistic
Most who leave do not come back
70% of my class are overseas and none came back
