Awesome work Leo! pretty big fan of Gojira, but I also love Riverside. If you could do Volte-Face at some point, that would be amazing! Keep up the amazing work!
Too much speed, precision & rhythm for my puny beginner mind! I'm barely getting the hang of Tool's Triad main riff, I think I'll leave this one for a bit! Keep up the awesome work.
@@LeoBassCovers2 Just put my Ibanez down to see a Yamaha on the other side of the room i left in drop C. Going to try that Mastodon Oblivion intro instead 🤔🎸. Wish me luck!
@@jamesnell7224 keep going and have fun! Nothing puny about being a beginner. It takes time but keep playing and you’ll be to the level before you know it.
@@Freudenfreude1 thanks man. quick question, any recommendations for strings? I bought some Ernie Ball hybrid slinky because chancellor uses them, they feel really nice but they went dull very quickly. Any recommendations for longevity but still feel nice on the fingers?
@@jamesnell7224 I’ve used Ernie ball a lot and agree they sound great but do lose life relatively quickly. Justin from Tool plays every show with brand new strings. I have recently been playing rotosound swing 66. I wouldn’t say they are easier on the fingers. They are stainless steel. But they last a bit longer and have a great even tone. I would say the EB are a little more scooped (lending to that Chancellor tone) vs the Rotosound which have more prominent mids. I like the stainless steel for life and brightness. I use some string lubricant/cleaner on them from Music Nomad and they are easier on my fingers that way (for finger style). I do think that the EB might sound better with a pick. Try as many brands as you can as this is a pretty subjective thing. Hope this helps.
@@LeoBassCovers2 awesome. Looking forward to it. No rush. Hope you’re well. Love your stuff as usual. Can’t wait to jam some Hold On for the time being. 🤘
I only have a 5 string bass for this kind of music. My 4 string is setup for very different tones so I did it with this one. It shouldn't matter that much :)
Awesome work! Just asked in one of your streams if Hold on will be covered, and you delivered! Keep it up man!
Thanks! I'm glad I was finally able to do it

can you please cover A Little Piece Of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold? I really want to play this crazy song on bass. with a 4 string please
New Found next? 🤞🏻
Tbh I’m a bit bummed about the last Gojira and Mastodon albums. They just feel very uninspired to me. But thanks for the sick tabs mate
all the song is amazing but in one part sounds amazing, like Rammstein
I’m not a Patreon guy but would love to hear New Found eventually.
Maybe one day :)

Why have a 5 strings if not using said fifth string?
