I swear this movie is a masterpiece and really shows the emotional side of a growing relationship. This song really speaks through a man who has finally found that one special woman who steals his heart and lives in it. If you're a man who finds a woman like this, be as grateful as you can be to her and never lose her. Dan in the movie was lucky to have gotten Debby back. The problem with the both of them was that they rushed into their relationship too fast without really learning each other. Please take the slower route with your girl and become friends first before lovers. There's no such thing as a friendzone when you both want each other romantically.
This song , just gets me so hard... It's the scene when she is moving in. I had this on VHS, I was like mid teens and watched it on repeat, so grown up , the drinking, the bars the nudity the sex the arguements and the love. It looked so exciting, I couldn't wait for it. In a snap of a finger that mid teen boy is 50 now ... Married and 2 kids , I've done all of it
I guess we are close in age, I looked forward to the "the bars the nudity the sex the arguements and the love". Well as a old man now I certainly think it was a pain in the butt, nothing ever really worked out like in the movies, a lot of heart break and a lot of Joans to find "Debbie", going to work the next morning with a hangover. In the end it was worth it.
There was sooo much music out there back then that it was easy for a song like this to get lost in the shuffle. But today this song can shine very bright because there is no music left. Sad.
Great film, great soundtrack, loved this film, a girl at university [in the early 90s] also liked the film. She was what the word WOW was created for, but she was another mans dream come true.
As a younger man I used to feel like Rob Lowe's character in About Last Night. As I got older I began to feel like Daniel Craig's character from Flashbacks of a Fool. Now I just feel like that guy who eats the live octopus in the original Oldboy movie. I do hope the octopus was female as I wouldn't like to think I'd gone gay and given head to a mollusc of the dude variety.
Yup as a younger man I was just like Rob Lowe in About Last Night.... but as you get older you realize how communication is so important in a relationship.

I've waited to hear words like this from a man. 😭
Absolutely 😊
I hope, if you haven't heard those words by now, that you most definitely do one day
And I'm waiting to say these words to a woman 🫂. Or to play her this song
Always loved this song AND the man who sings it 😘
