I remember when those trucks first came to our yard in Atlanta. They didn’t have the trailer AUX switch like the Volvos did. I’m with you man, the Volvos are the way to go. Congrats on the new ride stay safe out there bro
The one feature I like especially driving at night. Is leaving the light switch on Automatic and turn the high beams on. It will detect/sense light and switch on/off the high for you.
Did my road test in one of those today! This was the longest interview I've ever had. Energy is everything! I brought that great energy and man. They kept introducing me to somebody on staff. nice ride bro! at sysco i drove macks,volvos,internationals and freightliners and got comfortable with the liners. i got my air blower at auto zone and just connected it to the air line on the driver seat pretty simple. good work anthony stay safe!
Personally I prefer the volvo's vs the freightliner mclane has both volvo has a better sound system in it... How do you like the freightliner cruise control keeps you in your lane
I Ike them both equally in regards to the ride but the Freightliner has more features due to it being newer than the Volvo I was driving. One of the best features I like about the Freightliner is the utility light. The Freightliner not only has the normal lights behind the tractor but also has bright lights on each side of the tractor facing the rear which is extremely necessary for someone like me delivering to most of my stops while it’s still dark outside. Those lights keep those dark parking lots lit up. I love it! Especially when I’m pulling an older trailer with no lights above the doors. I like the cruise control as well.
Word of advice since you said in a previous video that you drive the most miles in your terminal. Get yourself a Purple pillow cushion for your back. The Freightliner seats suck compared to the Volvo. Also the turning radius isn’t as great either.
I got interview with GFS in plant city FL. They ask me what made me apply to them. I was like Anthony TV talks highly about GFS and it made me want to work there lol. They where like we need to get a whole of him and talk something out because he's getting a lot of drivers interested in working at GFS. But they couldn't hire me because I have a restriction in my license and they don't have any automatics supposedly. But I ended getting a job with Sigma Food Service is a branch of Sysco.

@@imanthonytv at the end of the day they get the groceries down the road. The lighting is very nice I will give it that. Just seem super bulky and not the same turning radius. Maybe if I spent the time in them they would grow on me. But for the most part I'm on a laptop.

My truck is the same way, and I had to ask for another key to lock the cab while working. Good luck with all the new alarms 🚨 and alerts that thing has because yes it does get annoying lol. Does it have the radar automatic brake system if you get to close to a vehicle? The only thing I don’t like about the newer ones is, it feels like your riding a lil higher and the turn radius isn’t that great but she will get down the road!
Yes, it has the automatic brake system that will slow down if you’re getting to close to another vehicle. It literally has all the bells and whistles😂.. I guess you can never have enough safety features. And It definitely has the new vehicle smell.. I couldn’t be more satisfied! 👌🏾

I learned how to drive a manual working for GFS. I had a manual for about 4-5 months during my first year with them and literally learned how to drive a manual during that time. Floating gears is much easier than double clutching in my opinion. I’m glad I was able to drive a manual for that length of time and get that experience. However, I still like auto’s better 😂
Bro, I work the majority of my accounts when it’s still dark outside. Having to leave the key in the ignition means I can’t lock my doors. I didn’t have a spare key. I’m talking about during the route not while I’m off duty.

No cameras period! Which is something I really like & I’m sure other drivers do as well.

We use our handhelds. There’s a system called Samsara which tracks our HOS programmed in the device.
