Thank you! I came to this because I suspect the parking lot and the routing used to pick up my grandchildren from their school in the afternoon, is suboptimal. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to create the model I need to determine my hypothesis one way or the other.
Hi Dr. Joanne Skiles! Your videos are super informative and easy to understand. Thank you very much. I'd to see one of your sumo simulation videos using o-d matrix.
Hi. I tried to create a simulation exactly you described at this video but the network doesn't open at the sumo-gui app, and when I try to create the randomTrips file, it just open the python script. Do you have any advise for those with the same problem? Thank you
thank you for this step-by step tutorial. do you also plan to include a tutorial on how to calibrate the simulation so that we can simulate close to reality by using for example inductor loop data or floating car data?
I am happy these videos are still helpful! The goal was just to help others get started with their simulations (and then extend upon this foundation for their own research).
not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend recently =)
I like this video however the directory could maybe be explained a little as im trying to copy this to get use to it and dont know where or how to get the file into sumo. Cheers Maybe also add how to open the file on sumo as this took me a while to open. Thanks though your cmd stuff was a real help
Hi @Dr. Joanne Skiles, This video was very informative and useful. I came across this video while searching for sub-lane extension in SUMO. I need to know how to activate the sub-lane extension in SUMO traffic? I have gone through the documentation and pdf link but it lacks the requisite details. Could you help me out on this issue?
Thank you so much for this fantastic video! Can I ask you one thing? I am trying to implement the real world traffic data into my network. Any idea how to do it?
Hi! Tks for this video! Is this possible draw the osm buildings on ns3 through SUMO? I've being using geopandas to draw the osm shapes, but they don't have height information. So I just draw the building x and y on a ns3 2D grid instead 3D : / .My idea is atribute a constant to the z parameter (height) if I can't obtain height information.
Thank you so much for this video , Unfortunately after repeating all the steps ,I could only observe the map via SUMO and I need a solution to simulate the file ".sumo.cfg" because I have this error above : Error: (At line/column 14/3). Error: Could not load configuration 'D:\sumoExamples\parismap.sumocfg'. Quitting (on error).

please keep making videos in this area.
More to come!
I'm glad you don't have to make every route and car by hand for a quick simulation test.
It was explained very simple and fast-tracking. Thanks Joanne!
This Video helped so much at our project. Thanks!

same doubt arise on my pc.
@@khumanjay3188 did you resolve it?
Hi Dr Joanne, any idea on how I can simulate a DDOS attack on the VANET? Thanks in advance
thank you for this step-by step tutorial. do you also plan to include a tutorial on how to calibrate the simulation so that we can simulate close to reality by using for example inductor loop data or floating car data?
Hi, thanks for the video. Its a realy short way to understand how it works, and how to find an easy way to use SUMO Simulations.
I am happy these videos are still helpful! The goal was just to help others get started with their simulations (and then extend upon this foundation for their own research).
@@DrJoanneSkiles Hello, could you give me your email, please?
Thank you very much. This tutorial is helpful.
great video. thank you
This video helped me a lot, thank you very much!
Olá! sou do Brasil, seu vídeo é muito bom! Parabéns!

@Messiah Justin Yup, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :D

Dr. Joanne, may I ask how can I make SUMO Configuration file for the simulation, I'm still new to the software. Grateful for your videos! More Power!

did you do it
great tutorial!

I'm getting an error, it says it can't load the configuration file in SUMO

Would you be able to show how to make Vehicle-to-Pedestrian simulation?
I can look into this.
why do I get Error: type ':containerFlowType' not found in my trip file
please help me
Hello how are you ?. Can you please share with us the random trips python file ?
Hi, randomTrips.py is part of the sumo installation sumo.dlr.de/docs/Tools/Trip.html
arigathaanks!!
cmd.exe does not use command netconvert !!.....help me please
you can ask politely :)
duarouter is not generating output
SUMO Tool called is better and more cost effective
The comment I needed, thanks!! This way the exported file is having less edge errors. Highly suggested.
Good call, I'm shocked by how much easier it is to use OSMWW
