I truly enjoyed your excellent presentation of this much loved place! I have been there many times and found your report VERY accurate ( which is often not the case with travel blogs, unfortunately!). Great job, and great fun to watch!
You two do a great job giving an authentic feel for the places you visit. Appreciate you sharing your travel adventures, it is helpful when considering trips.
I’ve been there many times it’s white. My buddy owns a business there and I stay at his place is why I’ve been many times. I wouldn’t pay the rates they charge for hotel rooms. Skinning tourists is the main hobby there. We don’t rent bikes and we cook our own food. White is all I like about it.
@khinekhine613 Hi there. Glad you found the channel. We don't fly, so I am not your best source for airport information. Here is what a Google search says "The nearest commercial airports to Mackinac Island are Pellston Regional Airport (PLN), about 15 minutes south of the ferry dock in Mackinaw City, and Chippewa County International Airport (CIU), about 35 minutes north of the ferry dock in St. Ignace."
The nearest airport is Pellston, and you can take a shuttle from the airport to the ferry dock in Mackinaw City. However, since this is a smaller airport with limited arrival/departure times, it might be more practical to fly into Detroit and rent a car for the 4 1/2 hour drive.
As travelers ourselves it is always silly and funny how people mispronounce the names of our towns. The first town you mentioned was St. Ignace and yes Ma'am you butchered it. It looks like but is not pronounced St IG NACE but simply pronounced St. IG NUS. If you visit not to far a way the beautiful small city of Charlevoix I will give you a heads up on it's silly pronunciation. It is pronounced Char La Voy which is nothing like it's spelled. I have called this area home for over 71 years and thanks for your videos.
@kagnewmp12 I'm happy to report we did a video on charlevoix and pronounced it correctly! Sadly not so good on St. IGNACE. the castle rock owner corrected us but we still got it wrong! Thanks for clarifying.

We went there as a kid on vacation. I appreciate you taking me back 40 years and showing me not much has changed.

Hey there Wally - always great to hear from you. This was a really fun one for us to film. Exhausting - but fun.

@@cliffwalkerusa Thank you so much for providing that detail. Airports are not our area of expertise!
