    You can have a curtain over the radiator, it’s not expensive and it is extremely convenient, we all have a curtain over the radiator here in Europe. Nice engine 👍

    Another great video man. How about maybe a quick overview on weights? In CA. there were strict weight restrictions and I thought I saw some under the seat. I know that in the rental leagues they generally don’t care about weight but pretty certain at the high end where you are weights are strictly controlled.

    Hey Oscar, good video, as usual. I can’t afford one of those yet, but I’ll get there. Have you driven other shifters powered by IAME engines? By the way, that New Line radiator and the Dellorto carb are top notch. I’ve seen them in races and their performance and reliability are awesome. Needless to say, if you or any of the DKC drivers travel to Brazil, please let me know. I can show you around great tracks that are open all year long in Sao Paulo. Cheers!

    I have some questions.
    Can you adjust the brake bias on the fly like a f1 car?
    I really want to get into motorsport but I don't know if I should buy a sports car or I should go with a shifter cart.
    How is the maintenance? Is it hard?
    What fuel does it takes?
    Would you recommend this as a hobby?
    It's gonna be my hobby and I am not gonna race in the near future.
    I am a professional athlete so my time is limited😅.

    • @sahib6742
      @sahib6742 4 года назад +1

      Yes, you can adjust front brake bias
      A shifter is still going to be quite expensive, but even if you total it it will be much cheaper than a sports car, also track fees are less and most tracks carry spares to buy so you can make the most of your time. Fuel is normally higher octane like 110 normally 75 for 5 gallons. Maintenance is not that hard as long as you like mechanic work and tinkering around with parts. I personally find mechanic work on my karts very therapeutic. There is a big learning curve if you have never driven a shifter but it is great fun and a great hobby, you will also meet some awesome people on the way. In the end if you want to race competitively then you will need to put more time, money and work in, but if you just want to drive around the track with your friends and do the occasional race then you will be good on time. I hope this helps let me know if youhave any other questions or if someone else wants to add to what I said.
      Cheers!

    Why is the water pump axle driven? wouldn't it be simples to have a water pump at the engine, like bike engines?

    So does this mean we will be seeing shifter kart race videos instead of league karts??? Look forward to it!

    • @IllegalAlienRacing
      @IllegalAlienRacing  4 года назад +1

      Ha, not likely anytime soon but eventually. The learning curve is very high in a shifter to get fast enough to be competitive. I have to be able to run competitive lap times and then be able to run them back to back for the duration of a whole race. It's a big task that takes time and $$$ to accomplish.
