This is likely a previously aired episode some time prior to the airing. The 1st Half and 2 Half prelims and Quarterfinals were the same before they made some changes later in the season. (i.e. The Pyramid's bell and The Gauntlet) Now it makes sense.
Notice how this season, when it comes to Crunch Time, it’s usually Gauntlet more than any other event. Personally, I don’t think there’s any event that demonstrates more Crunch than going through 5 Gladiators.
After looking at the rankings, my concerns were realized. The #3 & #6 Male Rankings are competing against each other, and they both Won their Prelims. While the #4 & #5 Male Seeds both Lost their Prelims, and will face against each other.
Troy Jackson and Jim Shriner have both won their preliminary seeding rounds against Ray Clark and David Cruz. And Joseph Edwards and Dewayne Collins lost their preliminary seeding rounds to both of the top two seeds: David Diederich and Mark Kibort
Love how Peggy got Ice to hurry up and try and take her down on hang tough.

David Diederich was fantastic in the Joust, Assault, Hang Tough, The Wall, the Gauntlet, and the Men's Eliminator.
Peggy Odita was amazing in the Pyramid, Score 5 points in Hang Tough, Score 6 Points in Assault, The Gauntlet, and the Women's Eliminator.
This was one of Zap’s best Duels (prefer the name Duel over Joust)
